Price Drop Diesel £1.369p / Unleaded £1.329p - 18/05

With the rising cost of fuel. Costco Birmingham currently seems to be the cheapest in the country.
So much cheaper than other Costco stores too.
Diesel 133.9p
Unleaded 131.9p

Chester is a similar price
Diesel 139.9p Unleaded 138.9p

All other Costco stores are quite a bit more.

Probably burn through any of the savings waiting in the queue, every time I go it's a nightmare. Not sure if it's the same now but the garage by the motorway junction was the same price for petrol a few weekends back

Best time I find are either before 9am or after 8.30pm weekdays or before 9am on weekends - never stuck in queues. Or between 2.40pm and 3.15pm - during school rush.

Aye, fuel is pretty much the only thing I've bought from Costco recently, and both Texaco and Sainsburys in Mansfield are cheaper than Derby Costco, so I probably won't be renewing my membership when it finishes this month.

TBF, the Derby store hasn't been competitive on fuel prices for a while now - I only still fill up there because it's not too far off my journey home from work, but being as I'm closer to Mansfield than Derby anyway, that's where I'm likely to be going from now on. (edited)

Might want to mention you have to be a member to get fuel. Made the mistake of going to one in Chester as it was the cheapest in the area, knew you needed a membership to go in the store but to get fuel? Ridiculous.

The queues used to be bad until a few months ago, but they have gotten smaller recently. IMO, that's because there's simply not enough of a saving now [compared to other filling stations] to be worth the wait times.

According to their website it’s now £1.31/£1.33. That has to be cost price or very low margin. But strange why it’s A LOT CHEAPER than other Costco’s by over 10p + for diesel. And at least 7-8 minimum (11 compared to my local branch) for unleaded. I know there is usually a bit of a difference but not that much

Our local Tesco just brought the price down from 148.9 to 147.9.
What a saving!

Leicester is 150.9 for diesel.

The price in Brum seems to be very good considering other stores are much more expensive. (edited)

Yesterday at 06.00am in Sheffield it was £1.49.9
I then topped up in Thurock for £1.47.9 and tought that was a better deal.
