Norwegian have mandatory gratuity that cannot be removed (couldn't when I tried about 12 months ago), this is not reflected in the headline price and will add an additional £310 on to this deal and should be reflected in the price. Other cruise lines will remove them on request NCL in my case refused. (edited)

They won’t remove it, that’s outrageous!

I am not sure if Cork, Galway, Dublin, etc. would like being included in a "British Isles" tour. (edited)

Looks like this is actually sailing from Southampton. Seascanner need to change the departure port.

Definitely, don't think NCL have ever sailed from Portsmouth, although of course for their market Southampton is London 😁 (edited)

We did this trip last year similar time, great weather for time of year really good ports.

This year great price(now) only a little more than last year.

Rare cruise as not many(cheap) lines do west coast of Ireland.

    NCL call this
    British Isles: Ireland & England
(Seascanner those deals ignore the description look at the itinerary)

Was waiting for the NCL deals but got a better offer from Princess otherwise we would be on it again it's a great cruise.

    Now the important £ information.

NCL Base price does not cover everything.

Gratuities are optional and can be prepaid or on the ship.

Free at sea is the package you need to consider.

it includes drinks, some internet, some speciality meals some shore excursion credits.
The drinks package is good for alcohol but not great for non alcohol(no coffee, bottle water like other lines)

Free at sea often offered at 50% we wait for that offer and hope it is when the base price deals are on.
(Not sure when the next 50% will be)

Not that popular with Brits on these northern routes many consider this a better mix of passengers.

Some tender ports to be considered if you have mobility restrictions.

NCL is another line like MSC if you work with the way they do things they can offer a great cruise experience.
If you want the way P&O do things stick with P&O.

As cruises go, where does Norwegian rate amongst P&O, Celebrity, Virgin etc? (edited)

I sailed on this ship a couple of years ago and its very dated. It smelt of cigarettes throughout the ship, even away from the casino. Some of the staterooms have been updated as well as the some of the bars/dinning rooms. For the price its ok but I wouldn't sail on this ship again.

Popular with Americans and Chinese market. You’re just lucky you live here

Much more appealing as it sails from Southampton!

FYI - you can cancel the tips with NCL but you have to do it on 3rd or 2nd last night, you can with any cruise line EXCEPT Costa, but they are so cheap I don’t mind paying it…

    Shop around cheaper using
    Vivavoyage £1060(Inc their fee).

Can someone please tell me if VFSGlobal in London accepts walk-ins for Schengen visa??? Can't get an appointment for netherlands. Please can someone reply.
    Grazz0r's avatar
No I don't think so sorry. You have to book ahead. Keep checking the appointment timetable every hour or so and something should pop up

Just been on a cruise around the Greek Islands and Turkey for 10 days and paid just over that for 2 people in a outside stateroom with window.
