I just got back from Bali last month and stayed about 1/2 mile up the road from the Ibis Styles. This hotel (looking from the outside) looked fine but if I remember rightly it doesn't back onto the beach, so you have to cross the moderately busy road.
Location wise, it is near some restaurants and the fancy part of Nusa Dua is walkable. But Nusa Due & Benoa are quite out of the way from all the main tourist places inland and near Ubud.
Bali itself is wonderful and somewhere very different visually and culturally. Steer clear of Kuta, Seminyak and Legian unless you want to have a typical European party type resort.
    Overall a reasonably priced deal.

Having stayed at Kuta on the way back from Australia in 2003 its fair to say I was underwhelmed, it was a sh**hole & worn out. I would have cut short my two weeks but it wasn't possible. Aussies use this place as a cheap holiday like we would go to Spain and it really shows. After the Maldives I was expecting another paradise, sadly it wasn't. (edited)

Imagine flying from Australia to Benalmadena. That's the equivalent. Bali isn't seen until you get out of Kuta. Head to Ubud, Uluwatu, Canggu. Even better if you can get on the boat and stay on the Gili Islands. Bali is paradise.

    Pity it's not non stop.

Non stop to Bali think you'll struggle as there are none from the UK

Hot and wet. Not a great time of year to go. Better off going during our summer time.

Ive spent 12 weeks in Bali over a few years prior to covid. Always in sept oct , its a magical place spoilt by rubbish in the sea and Australians. Its not paradise but def worth visiting. I liked sanur and ubud the best and the gili islands
