So once you take into account the value of all the points you will be getting, what the price for the game? Am just wondering how it compares to the physical version

I guess 20% back in points is around £10 off. So still £2 more expensive than physical copies which can be around £38 (on Amazon atm). (edited)

It's always been the case before that if you purchase from elsewhere, you still get the gold points. So CDKeys for example is £45.99, with £10 back in points after redemption

for you digital only guys and gals, just a reminder that nintendo shuttered the WiiU eshop just 10 years after the initial release of the WiiU. At the moment you can still download games you've paid for, but that's not a guarantee even a few years from now.

The Switch came out almost 8 years ago. Although it's a lot more popular than the WiiU was it's not impossible that nintendo pulls an ubisoft and closes the eshop once Switch2 is established in a few years

physical is the only way to keep your games

I understand what you mean and I'm alright as I am more physical too.

But about physical, it depends to other factors too as it is completely different than older physical video games . You should read posts like this, and the ones treating about cartridge lifetime NAND / Flash ROM, Read only / RW etc....

Sadly, the real preservation in video games remains hacking/emulation.

Also, there is a lot a games that need downloaded data to be complete (Batman Trilogy for example) and I don't take time to speak about patches (it's more acceptable with Nintendo first party games ofc) (edited)
