No you will have to check your specific card details. Most cards are usually about 3% so in this case an extra 25p quite a few banks offer fee free cards so it's worth looking into for when you go on holiday but just for this game it's not worth the hassle

Thanks, bargain, bought it

wouldn't buy this version because in russia sonic plays you.

I think so. All three are North America as far as regions are concerned if memory serves.

No it's down to provider.

Me too man, hoping to pick up a few bargains! I know sites like cdkeys, fanatical etc have taken the shine off these but you can still find some solid gold deals, usually not on the big ticket items but things like Alpha Protocol for 99p right now, bargain!

yh ive been waiting three months for this xD, thanks for the heat :)

Yeah, apparently there’s a big steam sale or something?! But yes... it is working just slow! Heat added!

I think he’s also released the Sonic 3D directors cut on steam workshop if you own Sonic 3D, otherwise there’s a patch available. Even if you think TT’s games are mediocre, its still worth checking out the channel for the impressive technical aspects eg. The FMV.

Kind of, you would need to use dev mode to side load an emulator. If you have a student email address or other qualifying method you can get a dev account for free using Microsoft Inspire/Dreamspark but otherwise it does cost some money afaik.

Fellow nerds should check out Gamehut on youtube, it's the developer of Sonic 3D, Toy Story, Mickey Mania, and various other games explaining how he put stuff in those games, and why the level select stuff often exists (a cheeky way of the game crashing but telling SEGA it was deliberate ha!), very interesting. He also does remasters too

Does that work on xbox one.

Emulation on the Pi can be hard work, partly because it's actually not a very powerful system. It can barely emulate the SNES era. I did get Final Fantasy V working without choppy music eventually, but it took a lot of tweaking with the settings and even still there are occasional moments when it just isn't 100% smooth. For those who have a Mac though OpenEMU is excellent. It's a shame it's not been ported to Windows and Linux.

If you even get a hint that setting up a RPi is too complicated for you, then it is. My opinion is that they're a complete nightmare. SD card issues, millions of settings, learning Linux command line nonsense, I would stay well, well clear. TBH, I'd buy a Nintendo SNES Classic Edition, and then use the much much simpler process of adding roms using an app called haxchi (I think it's called) on your PC (not Mac or Chromebook). You can use an old iPod charger, or even the USB ports on your tv to power it, comes with HDMI cable, and 2 very very decent controllers. And it looks cool as f**k.

My experience of retro gaming is sticking a SMS emulator or two on my PC and downloading roms, used MAME a lot for the arcade classics too. I call that simple. The Pi stuff which I am completely new to gets described as simple, just do A, B, C, then get X, Y, maybe Z, and do D, E and F, is really that easy. But it does not really sound that simple, does it? Not compared to running MAME on your PC anyway. But yeah thanks to cgap for the good info. I am more tempted now also to get my finger out and get into it, and at least give it a try.

Balti and Vimto and Spangles Were always crap. Regardless of the look back bores

Thanks for taking the time to share this, I've tried a few times over the years to get an old pi running emulators but with no luck. Will give it another go as it seems things have become a bit more simple since I last tried.

That’s what I’m waiting for. Hell, that is exactly how it should have been released on all platformsin the first place!

Just got All Stars Transformed on Xbox One with games with gold and I'm kicking myself at how it's taken me 6 years to play this game. It is a fantastic racing game easily on par with MK8. So much fun but also a good degree of challenge to it as well. So I'm definitely looking forward to this.

The word on gaming forums etc is that the entire team needs to win for you to progress. There's a chance they're just not showing single player to press, but it doesn't sound that way from the press releases. Maybe Double Dash or DS or something but they're certainly not better than any of the others.

Thanks, just watched few gameplay and interviews, certainly sounds like team focused game play, they mentioned overwatch and being able to transfer power up between team members. Will hold off on pre order now.

Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed and Crash Team Racing are both better than Mario Kart

Ditto. A variety of sega characters is far more appealing

Hmmmm judging by price i wonder if its a transformed remaster.

I think this is all that has been shown so far

What b0ll0cks. M$ should face the firing squad

Having now seen the PS + games for this month I think MS and Sony are competing for worst month this year, ' but ' as they usually give something decent away during E3 in June (At least I know MS have been) its not so bad and its more bearable with Gold as it's £10 cheaper than PS +.

Shame people have felt the need to vote this cold. The problem with getting a popular game like Metal Gear Solid every month is that most people own these games so don't really benefit from getting it on GwG or PS Plus. If it is a lesser known game then chances are you don't own it and you get something you didn't have before. Another great thing about Xbox being backwards compatible is every game you add to your library will be with you for the rest of your life. However you build up a library of PlayStation games only for them not to be carried over every time a new PlayStation releases meaning you need to start your library from scratch.

Never even seen that as hardly spend anytime in misc now (man, i do miss the good old days of misc) but hot, cold, it doesn't bother me.

If it weren't for my son playing Fortnite all the time, by now I'd be scrapping Live Gold, because the titles they give away are getting worse and worse. Another AC game?!?! The problem is that they generally get the 360 games right, it's the One titles that are consistently poor. I bet next month it will be AC Syndicate or Unity, a game everyone on HUKD has already bagged for about £2 on CD Keys.

Looks like these have gone up to £134 each 😥 (before discount) which is annoying as I had them in my basket the other day and held off to look at them in the shop.

Long discussion with dentist after a £2600 (shock) implant. Bottom line: both work but Sonicare type requires more 'technique', which most patients lack. All you need is a 3D Oral B (forget the 2D ones below and the pointless extra features above). £35 will do it with the newer Li-ion battery, or under £20 for Ni-Mh if you don't mind charging once a week. Replacement heads regularly around £2 on offer. Wife moved from Sonicare to Oral B when former packed up and was tired of cost of heads. Dentist happy with results.

Facts? I’ve never seen any evidence the Oral B brushes are better to be honest and my own experience echoes that of others on here - I’ve had 3 Sonicares now and my dentist also sings their praises, but if you have some facts to prove otherwise please share! Not having a dig at you I’m genuinely curious if there is such a thing as a better Oral B toothbrush

There is a direct link for the Newsletter. TCB & Quidco will decline cashback as a code has been used.

Just over £8 (699 Rub) if you buy the game from the Russian eshop. Apparently the will be a £3.99 upgrade charge for the dlc for those who downloaded it.

It doesn’t say Plus either, I imagine Coolshop just knicked the first image from Google.

Has this deal expired? page is coming up as error

I have used the Oral B for years and decided to try this Sonic type of device and I must say that it is very good and cleaned my teeth better that my old unit using the same time and process. I did then try the other options on the LIDL sonic device and was impressed. Also, I saw that replacement heads are available on and also they have a UK number and a website too. The only issue is that the size of the brush head is bigger than the Oral B type and this is not a problem for me but it may be for my other half. For the price I think it is a bargain.

I bought yesterday and the charger with the shaver socket attached had been shoddily repaired and a tippex type substance used to try and conceal repair !!! took charger back for replacement and they refused. They said I had to return the full item which I did and they replaced it all new charger was fine!!!

£24.99 in Northern Ireland, thanks Lidl! Yet another Hot GB only Deal (annoyed) Time to tweet Lidl aka Squittle.

Used mine last night and this morning and also dont think im getting on with it. What are the odds of lidl refunding? I know i can take the 2 packs of heads back as not opened but with this being a toothbrush doubt they would refund for this.

So you can't actually use the gold points you've already earned on your account when switching over to Russia? I've got £3.65 worth of gold points, some of which are expiring soon so this is a bit annoying.

I realise now that you couldn't have been charged over £11. The highest possible fee would be £1.50 + 3% (25p max), so £1.75. Today 699 RUB is worth £8.25 but yesterday a bit less, so that would make under £10 total. However I believe there is only 1 card which charges that much.

No need now, brain fart over! (lol) All done and downloading (y)

How do I save the change in region on the browser and how do i log into the store on the Switch, because I go to the store and it's just the UK one, no new logging in required? Sorry if I'm being a pain, dont usually have a problem doing this sort of stuff, but this is just not going my way :|

You will lose any existing credit you have in your UK account though I believe. So make sure that's empty first before messing with other regions.

Thank you

Good advice. Personally for me the game is more of a 'nice to have' than a essential purchase as I actually have it on Steam anyway, so probably wouldn't pay much over a fiver considering I'd be buying it again, and if I followed the digital foundry guide: could probably get it running better than it does on the One X. But I do like the more plug and play nature of consoles and the fact I can just instantly get better results without faffing about with mods and tweaking settings and such like you have to on PC even if the PC might ultimately give the better result...

If you want the games cheaper that are BWC you have to keep up to date and try and get them as they are announced... tip, follow good people like @BuzzDuraband's deals, set keywords on HUKD like "backwards" "compatible" "bwc" etc.... I personally check the Wiki page for backwards compatible titles as the info is up to date and useful and tells you everything you need to know including the date when it was made bwc and can be put in date order etc.

Some of the comments here are laughable... won't vote hot unless its the game for free (lol) only an expansion.. for free (excited) Really. Also complaining like someone else mentions supply & demand.. its life.. if something is made available such as a once previously popular game.. then yes its going to go up in value... anyway the price is about the same if not less... I watched the live stream on Mixer when MS annouced this was backwards compatible and the cheapest BIN on eBay at that time was £8.95.... the cheapest currently is £8.50 delivered so infact cheaper......

Currently playing this through again so grateful to pick this up!
