Good spot. Direct link would be helpful for the peeps.

Have just called the company selling the above - if used for data only, the router should work on any network
I asked if I needed a robust and very reliable solution, they advised the one below may be better option:

Do those types of external antenna make any improvements to the signal? I have this modem already. I bought window suction mounted external antenna off eBay but I can't say I've seen any improvements to signal. Wondering if I just got a dud one and need to try a different antenna

I cant speak for ZTE but I have a Huawei router and with the genuine manufacturers twin antennas like these my signal was actually weaker when I used them.
    Basically they were (edited)

crap router it will loose connection randomly 4-5times a day and take 40min to come back on unless you unplug and replug in again then it will come on again instantly, get the zyxell its much better modem

Nice price with the antennas I suppose.

Are these external antennas any good? Has anyone used it and how much does it cost to buy it separately?

Is this router likely to be locked to the 3 network?

Actully put this in my watch list yesterday as I want to get away from the crap home broadband I have at the moment and don't want to be tied into a contract. Supposedly we have 5g in the area but I can't pick it up so will probably go for a 4g TP link and just swap sim cards as decent deals appear. Just got to decide on whch model to get now.

I read the chinese 5g routers are pretty decent and around £130, but could not find any links does anyone have any?

Cant see the thread anymore, but someone also suggested even a cheap 2nd hand 5g phone and hot spot would do well but not tried that trick since no 5g phone.

I would like a 2nd bb backup option to VM bb since it goes down regularly.

I get consistent speeds of 400-500 mbps on my ZTE 801C. It’s on Three and having paid £10 for 6mo and now £20 pcm to Three with this router free I’m very happy. And I live in very rural area. (edited)

You have to return the router once you've stopped using 3 Internet
