So, decided to start my new build a year early.
This seems like a great price for the 6000MT/s with C30 timings, I certainly couldn't find it cheaper at the moment.

Quick question. The lower the CL score and the higher the frequency is the best way to gauge "better" ram isn't it? There are so many factors sometimes. I'm about to swap my board and processor to go back to Intel so figured Id get a DDR5 board at the same time.

Just checking that this is the simplest way to gauge "fast" or "good" ram. (edited)

Correct, high MT/s or Mhz and lower C (CAS latency) are what you want.
This is pretty much the sweet spot for DDR5.

Oh wow! I paid £241.98 for two sets just days ago on Prime Day. Well, it's going back, that's for sure. £30 is £30.

I ordered the same RAM on prime day for £15 more, I cancelled the order when I ordered this on the 13th. Amazon still dispatched the order. I was unsure how long this would take to arrive due to it coming from Taiwan, so I installed the RAM ram from amazon in my new 7900X build. It was unstable unless I set the RAM to 5800MT/s.

I assume this was just the DDR5 and Ryzen 7000 issues based on what I read, but today this order direct from Corsair arrived and it runs at 6000MT/s with zero issues. Thank you again for posting this deal. (edited)

wow that’s interesting seems like a lottery situation similar to overclocking the chips

Ordered these a couple of days ago. Just a warning they ship from Taiwan, so not sure how long they will take to arrive. Mine has now arrived at Hong Kong, so let's see how long and what condition they arrive in.

Ordered last Friday (14th) - it was dispatched from Taiwan on Monday (17th) and received it earlier today (20th).

Looking at the boxes of this and one I ordered a few days earlier on the prime day - the only difference is
that Amazon Prime Day memory is ver5.43.13 and one from Corsair Direct is ver 5.43.01. No idea which one is better.

Serial numbers and "Lot codes" are also different, which of course is expected. (edited)

Very odd that the one frm Corsair is the OLDER revision. Hopefully it makes no difference, haven't even started my new build yet as I've yet to buy the CPU or GPU.
Guess I'll find out at some point.

Double the price of regular DDR5 of same capacity. Amazon reviews state instability running these at the EXPO speeds.

Finding a cheap AM5 motherboard to run these is probably impossible.

To be fair, if you're thinking of doing a AMD DDR5 AM5 build, you're a bit early in the AM5 game to be expecting to build it on a budget/for less than £1000, i've got a reasonably barebones AM5 build, Ryzen 9 7900, 64gb cl40 5600mhz, Nvidia T600, 1tb kingston KC300 ssd build and it's come in at just shy of £1000..

Saying that, barring the graphics performance (i'm using it as a 3d BIM modelling workstation, so don't need an amazing graphics GPU) it's up in the 97/99th centile of performance and goes like the proverbial off off the shovel

It's limiting factor is me ;-(

    Blimey, £20 cheaper than Amazon!

I was going to cancel my £126.99 order from Amazon but because I bought it alongside another item that had a big discount, they've reduced my refund amount because they've tried to apply most of the discount to the RAM rather than the other item that was actually discounted. I've read that this is something they've done for a while, and it's a shame they still do. So I guess I'll just suck up the £22 I paid extra only 2 days ago! (edited)

Excellent price. Amazon had these the cheapest but this is ~£16 cheaper! Heat.

Ive just ordered the Flare x5 CL30 kit which are pretty much on par to these although no RGB so I will loose a few fps im sure.

Ouch that's some nasty pricing compared to 4800MT/s

    Better than Amazon though!
It's worth it really, the performance boost is noticeable especially with the timings on these.

Of course, you have to consider the aRGB tax too, but I fancied some pretty lights, lol. (edited)

15% student discount apparently too. I can't seem to get it work so probably not possible on discounted item (edited)

Wonder if Amazon will price match
    JonReese's avatar
I've noticed they do that far less often these days.

EXPO seems another name for things we already have. ie XMP, DOCP, EOCP... what extra does it offer?
    GOODSTUFF's avatar
as far as Im aware it just means that it is specifically optimised for AMD CPUs

I tried to order some ddr4 ram the other day but the Corsair website kept glitch in out so I just got it £1 more from Amazon in the end.
Not sure if it is just me or their website is broken. (edited)

May have been a browser issue.
Some stores don't work for me on Firefox but do on Chrome.

im not to sure but could possibly get charged import tax but not really sure .
    zarftrain's avatar
Price includes all taxes and therefore there will be nothing extra to pay if it is shipped from abroad.
