    I got one of these a couple of weeks ago.
    Very slow, as you'd expect, but very cheap and fine for loading up with films/TV/music when your away from home, or even to stick in the TV/media player at home.

    What sort of speeds do you get for read/write cycles? Am curious as was contemplating using something similar as a low voltage storage tank hanging off a Pi 4b

    I do believe when you get to this kind of size storage device you are better off moving to an SSD in an enclosure for both speed and reliability if you can (eg if size and space allows). Obviously these have their benefits but that’s a lot of data!

    A 512GB drive and enclosure would cost a lot more than this.
    These have their uses.

    My 256GB version of this drive stopped working after 3 days. I don't recommend it. Also slow AF.
