So this over the Bluetooth version?

No. The bluetooth version is the only version with hall effect sensors.

thanks! think this is the one without the long-lasting hall-sensor magnetic sensors. i got that one in white a while ago and would get this if the same but think that's the bluetooth + 2.4g one. it was a mess trying to figure out :/

Yeah its a shame the one with hall sensors has the Nintendo button layout :/

Will this work for gaming on Nintendo switch/ Nvidia shield geforce now ? Thanks

Yes, this version has Xbox layout buttons; the actions and physical buttons can be remapped or changed if you want the Nintendo layout

How does this stack up compared to an Xbox controller? Planning to get something to play some games on my PC

i'd get the one with hall-sensor controls for about 8 quid more. i got an official xbox controller from amazon and it lasted barely three months. they refunded me and i got the hall sensor version of this. it uses magnets so should last a lot lot lot longer. i don't really notice any difference playing.

I went for the white one personally at £36.

Considered the Bluetooth one but as I’m mainly PC gaming my ocd couldn’t handle the Nintendo layout.

Can you connect more than 2 without bugging out on PC?

I’ve got this after not getting on with the Pro 2 that went hot the other day (mostly due to preference of Xbox layout vs PS). As mentioned before, firmware update via the 8bitdo website adds Bluetooth for both X-input (Windows) and D-input (Android) which I found very seamless and easy. Controller build is sturdy and comparable to official Xbox controllers and the charging dock is a nice touch both for presentation and usability. Given the Pro 2 went super hot for a similar price, I’m surprised this hasn’t reached its level too. Hot!
