sorted byMore reliable and has DRAM cache so better performance (especially if used as the OS/apps drive).
Ignore anyone that goes on about Crucial switching to QLC NAND in the MX500's, it's nonsense.
A few people in Asia bought fake drives from AliExpress which were QLC and failed very quickly.
Just reminded me I need to sell a spare 1TB MX500 I have, lol. (edited)
I posted a deal for it on Amazon a Month ago and have been checking on the price quite frequently, it's never dropped below £34. (edited)

Actually...How dare you find it cheaper elsewhere!
I wonder how long this price crash will go on for, they'll have to pay us to take them away by the end of the year if they carry on at this rate. (edited)
I tested a cheopo £62 2TB fanxiang SATA SSD today, even in a USB enclosure it averaged around 80-90MB/sec.
Would have thought the Kingston would be quicker than that.
Crazy.
"Box Contains1 x 120GB Kingston SSD"
I think a lot of these budget ssd's have silently switched to qlc ...
SATA SSDs usually have a lower TBW than NVMe SSDs.
Poor service had to buy ssd from to get one here in time, time to avoid Mymemory.
