Hopefully not a silly question, but can these be used in outside solar lighting

    No, you need rechargeable cells.

The "industrial" version of these are the only recent batteries I have bought in which multiple batteries have leaked badly just sitting in a cupboard in the house. Hopefully this version is better.

I left a 1 star review with several photos and Amazon conveniently removed it with the following email:

They are defo better than standard duracell, IKEA and any supermarket batteries I've tried.

I have a battery-powered LED lamp in my en-suite that runs on 3 x AAA batteries. It has a PIR sensor and seems to flatten just 1 or 2 of the 3 batteries at a time (completely flat) whilst leaving the others fully charged - and this happens in just 3-4 weeks with very little light usage. I wonder if it's because the PIR is causing a very slow drain. Is there a type of battery I should aim for for this purpose? Lithium is a bit expensive - unless it would likely last much longer?

I think you need to replace your LED lamp instead.
I got this when it was on offer and haven't replaced the batteries in ages:

Why buy this when you can buy an 8-pack of AAA Amazon Basics rechargeables for £6 (or a 16-pack for £10.90)?

Just buy a charger and a set of rechargeables. You won't buy more probably ever again. Or at least not in the next 5-6 years.

A set of rechargeable? I have about 50 and I never have any available when I need them...Also, most rechargeable will not last that long if you don't take care of them, charge them and discharge them once in a while and off course if the rechargeable are not that good quality. My rechargeable last about 2-3 years. (edited)

If you haven’t used 10 of these before 10 years has passed then you don’t need rechargeable. As you can’t be using many batteries. (edited)

Rechargeable really make more sense. They are much cheaper in the long run and better for the environment into the bargain. I only use rechargeables now.

I agree totally.....until like in my house , everybody threw away the rechargeable ones after one use. I had at least 30 of each size.

The jeans are also under £10 at Primark, t-shirts are £2, this does not means is the same product. £1 batteries at Poundland too. Saying this, I don't know if these are better.

Are these better performance than a pack of 20 GP AAA Batteries Ultra Alkaline also 10 year shelf life? Similar price if needing 20

£5 delivery if you don't have Prime. It's amazing how predatory Amazon have become regarding it. I've not been subscribed for a few months and find I just order less stuff that I don't need. They obviously recognise that because every time I visit the website, I am greeted with gaudy full-page adverts that effectively block the page offering me Prime at 'incredible discounts'.

    Maybe I'm just getting old.

Amazon prime is an incredible bargain but only if you use amazon frequently. You've also got the video channel plus sports etc. It's an absolute bargain.
I've not noticed any intrusive adverts. I mainly use the android app. But I do use on pc sometimes. (edited)
