Hi all.
I don't know if this is deal or freebie but I just discovered this and want to share this with you.
Amazon Prime music is now available in the UK included in the price of Prime.
Now it is really very hard to argue about value of Prime service :):):):):):)

Is this making way to releasing the Amazon echo in the UK

Am only seeing the albums I have bought from them ?
Should I be seeing a streaming service too where I will see other stuff ?

down loaded app works great thanks

Does it work with Sonos ?

Tempting to stop Spotify and Netflix and just move to Prime...

Hopefully bring a sonos app out

Now is perfect

Now it is really very hard to argue about value of Prime service

I find is very easy. None of that mindless consumer nonsense interests me. I'd rather have £80 in my pocket so I can go and do something fun.

Yet here you are, on a massively consumer nonsense focussed website commenting on it...

yep... go to spotify or any other music streaming services and pay £120 per year (at least) for nothing more.
Your choice really.
I prefer to pay £79 for next day delivery, movies, music and books

In fairness I have Amazon Prime, but I also have Netflix, Prime Instant Video isn't all that.

This however is now worth the annual fee alone, it's £6.58 a month, much cheaper than Spotify or Deezer. Add to that next day delivery and other Prime benefits and I find it hard to see how anybody can argue with the value of Amazon Prime, regardless of their take on mindless consumer nonsense.

OK time to Cancel Netflix and join PRIME

Is it free for student prime membership?

Can you have multiple users under prime? Ie could I let my daughter use the streaming service without being able to purchase items.? Thanks for any reply.

You can actually share Prime video with one other adult using Amazon Household - not sure if this will extend to prime music

I've just signed up for the free trial. Had a look through the video library and have now cancelled the membership. Not value for money for me.

Not as good a library as spotify. See how it goes I'll stick to spotify just now.

Yes, they need to have their own Amazon account

This will be redhot! deal of the week! well done OP

Potentially could be good. I've just searched for a couple of bands that I like and there were no albums available. It's not good enough to replace my current service just yet.

Can search here - amazon.co.uk/b/r…031

Appears to be included in amazon student too. That's almost too good to pass up.

How does the music availability compare to spotify?

ChrisUK

Yes

Mr Hunter

Hopefully bring a sonos app out

Sonos shows as being supported in the list of app platforms.

Thanks for heads up... Amazon Prime is well worth the money £39.99 it cost me and the money i have saved along with the deals i have got must be well into the hundreds of pounds.

Not as good, missing a lot of music that I listen to (I'm still talking fairly mainstream stuff like Muse and Foo Fighters, and I can't even find massive stuff like Lady Gaga etc). For now, it's got a pretty poor interface and is greatly lacking in artists.

is there an app for the fire tv box/stick?

never mind, I found it.

Spotify has over 30 Million tracks, this has 1 Million.

Because music is not fun...

Yeah I'm finding that out - just tried searching for a few tracks, couldn't find anything I really like on Amazon

Now don't we all wish we had taken out individual Prime a couple of weeks back when it was £59 rather than the sharing with other forum members...nice for the main account holders though.

Universal's artists are unavailable in the UK version of Amazon's service at launch. The record company, which accounts for about a third of the global music market, is holding out in a dispute over royalty payments.

whats the quality like? can't see the spec?

The search function is pretty useless, and quite how it classifies Fine Young Cannibals, Leftfield and the soundtrack to Rocky IV as Hard Rock and Metal I don't know!

Quite a poor library as well, I think I'll stick to free spotify and deal with the adverts for now.

this could tempt me back

This is on the US Prime Music site:

"Prime Music is included with annual Prime memberships, 30-day Amazon Prime free trials, annual Amazon Mom memberships, 30-day Amazon Mom free trials, and annual Amazon Student memberships. It is not included during the free trial period for Amazon Student memberships, or for invited household members on a shared Prime account."

Which looks like it won't work with household members....which is annoying but I'll have a check later as I am an invited member on my wife's account so I will get her to set up the household thing.

Can I stream Prime Music with a Volumio or RuneAudio box?

Agree with Buzz in terms of Netflix, I have both, but rarely use Prime. No idea about music streaming tho... Might find out shortly.

Does anyone know whether you can stream it through your Fire TV box?
