Can't see how anyone thinks this is good. Absolutely rubbish selection (as commented) so if you currently pay for and use a music streaming service, you couldn't possibly ditch it in favour of this.

Same with Prime Video. Appalling selection. No way you could cancel Netflix for Prime Video so no saving to be made there either.

Meanwhile "free" next day delivery becomes more and more expensive because of all the great "extras" Amazon "give away" with it.

Please, give me back Prime as just a delivery service for maybe £39 / year, throw away the other nonsense "me too" services and I'd be more than happy to sign on the dotted line.

In fairness I have Amazon Prime, but I also have Netflix, Prime Instant Video isn't all that.

This however is now worth the annual fee alone, it's £6.58 a month, much cheaper than Spotify or Deezer. Add to that next day delivery and other Prime benefits and I find it hard to see how anybody can argue with the value of Amazon Prime, regardless of their take on mindless consumer nonsense.

Jeez, tough crowd. You've just been given something for nothing and still manage to moan about it. I joined prime for the next day delivery and view the add ons as icing on the cake. I can't fault amazon's logic of bundling up delivery, video and music etc into one package to obtain maximum take up. Their prime video and music offerings on their own lag some way behind the respective market leaders but taken as a complete package, prime now offers even better value for money. Enjoy.

Spotify has entire Pink Floyd discography. Amazon has 5 or 6 songs.
Spotify has 10 Queen albums. Amazon has none.
Spotify has all albums from Hidden Orchestra. Amazon has none.
Spotify has tons of good jazz, rock and electronic music. Amazon has Nicki Minaj and not much else.

If you're after autotuned home made album of some south-african guy singing about bitchez and swag then Amazon service will be just for you.

what Amazon don't realise is that the majority of Amazon's customers don't want all these mediocre services.
they're doing a Tesco, trying to dabble in everything, and succeeding at nothing.

all I want from Amazon, is good products at great prices, maybe with the option of paying a reasonable fee (less than £30 per year) for faster delivery.

if I want quality music streaming I'll go to Spotify, if I want quality movie streaming I'll go to Netflix.

    79 bones a year for:
    1) A music streaming service with barely any music.
    2) A home delivery service with no fresh foods. How much electronics can you really buy and need within 2 hours?
    3) An abysmal tv streaming service.

    Good luck with that.

Pretty simplistic view that. I listen to a lot of music and Spotify's library is extensive. From what I hear Amazon still has some way to go to catch up. You might get free delivery on Amazon, but it also sounds like a sub par music service. I think it's perfectly valid to want to stick with Spotify for the time being.

Also, if you're a regular on HotUKDeals you'll know that it's not that difficult to blag an NUS extra Card, so I'm actually paying £60 a year for spotify!

    Appalling selection of TV?!

    Are you serious?

Prime was the only network showing the amazing Black Sails not to mention Halt and Catch Fire, Vikings, Turn, Bosch, the Fall, The 100, Ripper Street, Sons of Anarchy, Arrow, Klondike, The Amazing Race, The Killing...most of these are award-winning shows (The Amazing Race is on Season 22 or something).

For you to honestly say that the selection of Prime TV is appalling shows just how biased and blinded you are. *shakes head*

I cannot stand that kind of generalising bull*h*t. Like people that say "Oh, I don't like French wine...regardless of region, year, colour or vineyard."

Speak like Yoda you do, hmm?

Another lunatic anti-Amazon rant claiming that the 200+ TV series and 1000's of episodes there is precisely NOTHING they want to watch. NOTHING. Their cultural pallete is so refined that only the emmy-award winning masterpieces from Netflix would suffice.

Amazon are unfortunately just simply repeating the kind of award-winning trash they can do without thank you. Who wants to watch historical drama like Turn? Or Mad-Men inspired shows like Halt and Catch Fire? Of course Black Sails the surprise sleeper hit of 2014 is out and no one liked The Fall or The Killing. Vikings obviously was panned by the critics.

Goddamn it - if only people could find the kind of content that Netflix pushes out...maybe they would be able to find one thing, a single episode worth watching. But no. Netflix is the Filet Mignon to the pork mince of Amazon TV.

what really pee's me off is people telling me I am getting bad deal using prime when they have no idea how much value for money I get out of it... It's not like a tin beans where it might be cheaper else where. It's all about how you use Amazon
If your single and skint then yes prime is a bad idea..
But if your like Me and my partner and go half so it's £29.50 for the year then is amazing value. Having the option for prime is worth the money alone - I have kindle and one a book month saves me couple quid at least ,, we watch at least min of one film per month..
my deliverys are on time,, last year I didn't get no free months and year before it was 4 late deliverys - four free months, and we buy huge lot of business supplies from Amazon.
Also Amazon customer support and returns is the best on the net..

Amazon music app is also pretty cool - is enough on there to keep me happy

Also show me one other online retailer where I can buy something at 7pm have delivered to my house the next day - ' even Sunday's, without it costing a small fortune

Edit: my prime cost £59 and went halfs 29.50 but normal price is £79 but thought everyone was aware of how to get twenty off

I hate to break it to you, but Apple only allows 25,000 songs to be streamed from each iTunes account. Google allows 50,000. So having lots of songs in your own library (though I seriously doubt you have 1m), is of no real benefit. Both services allow 30m to be streamed from the providers direct (rather than your own library) whilst Amazon allows for streaming of 1m songs.

Granted it's not as good as the 30m song selections available, but it's a freebie for those already on prime.
