Received mine today, beautiful card and tight fit is an understatement, but I knew that from the start and this card "fits" with a bit of patience and planning. Ran it only for a short time to make sure it boots into Windows, this is with a Fractal Design 650w gold SFX PSU.

Will run some benchmarks over the week to stress test it.

Ran a couple of stress tests, loop 20 times at 4K, the performance is nothing short of being amazing, butter smooth so far and the 650w seems to cope so far.

Consider this is an ITX case, both CPU and GPU temp got to max 89c, a bit toasty to say the least, may consider opening 1 side of the case to play games (this case is really good, small, compact and you can take off any sides).

Damn thats high. If power draw and efficiency is a worry you shouldn't get this card. I'd instead try for the £600 4070Ti. That draws well under 200W on full load with a modest undervolt. Typically 160-180W gaming.

That or wait for the 7800XT which will will likely perform the same as this but draw way less power and probably have better Raytracing. (edited)

There have been and still are XFX Merc 6950XTs for 576 + 12.99 postage on amazon for weeks. Much better deal/card if you ask me. They have 6800XT for 490 too.

That sellers can't be posted on HotUKDeals, I did and it was removed due to having under 90% feedback.

Anyone have a crystal ball to have a guess if these will still be around at this price or lower when the 7800xt comes out?

Hard to say, MooresLawIsDead (on YouTube) had a long form podcast with AdoredTV where they discussed relative stock levels of AMD - I believe they indicated stock was quite healthy still. They also said that products like the 7600 and potentially 7800XT would be pointless to release until the last gen was largely sold out. Worth skipping through the video, but it's all speculation based on random sources. I also only half listened so might have missed/misinterpreted some of the info.

😁😁. I'm quite limited with the choices as my ITX case won't take majority of the 3rd party cards.

Lol, beat me to it. Amazon has price matched OC and this includes delivery if you have prime. Heat op. I've ordered mine as this one fits in my ITX case

Haha, I have a few deal alerts on this and a few partner models . Trying to snag a 7900XT but looks like only the last gen is getting decent reductions.

I'd get this if it wasn't for the absurd power draw.

    exactly what i was thinking
  8. t1redmonkey's avatar
Tempting, but the power draw is a bit of a worry. Wondering if the 7000 series AMD will release in next few months (7800xt in particular I guess) may offer similar performance but at a more efficient level.

There has been nothing on any mid range cards from AMD at all. Navi 32 the chip it will be based on I'd think is been held back due to the need to shift Bargain basement 6000 series cards or they can't charge what they need to for lining share holders pockets!

OMG Great price I paid about £700 a few months ago

Don't worry, I've paid £839 for a 6900 XT just before December for my other PC if that makes you feel any better 😁😁

Is this worth an upgrade from a 6800xt i only play flight sim .
    toge's avatar
It's 10-15% better in pure rasterisation (edited)

Solid deal. If an aftermarket model gets to this price, I'm definitely buying.
