To those who are more familiar, how does this compare with the Ryzen 2600?

I see there's less L3 cache, a smaller die, and is newer, but I think that's a red herring as they're both Zen 2 gen chips?

They're both based on PCIE 3.0, but is the max memory on the 2600 really 2933mhz? Could you use 3200 sticks and run the sticks at 3200mhz?

How does the 4500 stack up against the 2600 if the 2600 can be had 'new' for £10 - £15 less?

As mentioned, if the 4500 came with a free game, that may have swung it? (edited)

The 2600 is Zen+ not Zen 2, the 4500 should be much quicker for that reason alone.

Collpasing in price as they probably can't shift many of these undesirable CPU's

More than fast enough for the vast majority out there

That's what I thought, very cheap six-core CPU that will still perform decently in general use or gaming when paired with a mid-range card.

Shame it doesn't still come with a free game, would have made it an even better deal. Bargain price still though.

Amazing price for a solid processor

Worse than a (generation older) 3600 with no support for PCIe gen 4. If it had on board graphics I'd say it was worth it for general home pc use, but the fact that you have to then buy a dedicated GPU makes this a really bad but for most
