    Arrow, so the best transfer currently I'm guessing? This is one of the handful of DVDs I've kept hold of... 1., because I love the film and 2., because I managed to get John Landis to sign it with a personal message when I met him several years back

    Yes, it’s received a new 4K transfer. From both the Blu-ray and the UHD Blu-ray it reads

     Blu-ray:

    The original 35mm camera negative was scanned in 4K resolution at NBC Universal's Studio Post facility. The film was graded and restored in 2K resolution at Silver Salt Restoration, London. The grade was approved by director John Landis

    4K UHD Release:

    The original 35mm camera negative was scanned in 4K 16-bit resolution at NBC Universal Post. The film was restored in 4K and graded in HDR10 & Dolby Vision at Silver Salt Restoration, London. The key grading reference was a prior HD master approved by director John Landis.

    Both look incredible and obviously the 4K is superior.
