sorted byor if pub allows, in the beer garden, what i mean is..if it got nicked or dropped, it wont break your heart or pocket.
So far audio is good. Bass drops off as the volume goes up.
For £39.99 it seems like a good enough job and ive been listening to it for a good few hours and it's only droped from 4 led (100%) to 2 led (50%). Outdoor range is at least 25mt but could go further as i ran out of room outside for a clear line of sight. Indoors, maybe 10mt depending on wall type but impressed with the BT range. Don't think it has a built in FM radio which would have been nice. I only got this for holidays as ive tried to bring my google nest hub abroad before. Knew i would hsve issues not being able to connect to hotel wifi so brought a repeater to try and fool it broadcasting a different ssid. Will be simpler to just BT music from phone to speaker. Its a bit heavier than the 585g advertised, actually 623g so need to be careful with duty-free. Maybe a bit heavier when fully charged :/
Cant realy compare to any other BT speaker as the only other one i have is a cheap single speaker version that looks more like a torch with a speaker at the back. Never used the torch function much and ran it off micro usb as not sure how long the batteries would last for. It was a bit of a gimic single speaker / torch combo that actually has FM built in i found by accident when holding down a function button. RTFM and i might have known about that radio earlier.
In conclusion is it worth 40 notes........ yeah, would i spend £58 on it, naw. Id be looking alternatives in that price range. This is probably Amszon/Anker doing a DFS, ramp the price up and then have a continuous Sale and get muppets like me thinking they are getting a good deal when its realistically only worth a pair of JMW Turner's in the first place.
Probably planned obsolescence. (edited)
