Bargain price, this should keep me entertained for the weekend.
I must look up that mod. My daughter bought the PC version for my birthday and I found myself feeling a bit strange playing it, which is odd because I don't suffer from motion sickness at all in cars or real boats. Fantastic graphics, agreed it's quite like the first; I enjoyed that too.

No can't say I did. Only find a few vr games causing motion sickness. But … No can't say I did. Only find a few vr games causing motion sickness. But over time, it's effecting me less.As for the game, I completed it the other week and 100% recommend. Similar to the first one, but better graphics, story, guns and gameplay.Looks amazing on the Xbox one x. Well worth the price.

The game itself is brilliant (from what I played) and looks fantastic on the X but as soon as I got to the submarine rocking side to side and BJs bobbing head I had to turn it off.
Hopefully they add an option to turn head bobbing off as Dishonered 2 has this option and that's also a Bethesda game.

There are quite a few threads about this, apparently it is down to the BJ's head bobbing about. There is a mod on PC to disable the "bobbing" obviously it won't help us console players.

You could tweet Bethesda/Machine games as the more people moan then the more likely they might implement an option via a patch. Just a thought.

Its about what is the best deal.....the best value for money. Not always the cheapest and not always the best, but the best deals. What suits each person will vary, it all depends on what features each person finds important.

The original item doesn't seem very special, its a narrow american fridge freezer with a small capacity, bigger and better available for not much more. I only know because I've been having a look lately as our fridge freezer is making funny noises and I'm sure its going to need replacing soon!

Comments are a chance to help people and share what else you are aware of aren't they?
this isnt a proper american fridge freezer, they have reduced the width. All other american fridge freezers are 90cm wide. Be careful when buying!!!!

In essence it should be the same but that's the risk. Personally I wouldn't there are so many things to go wrong. Non delivery, wrong item, fake, damaged, used, no warranty. In my view it would have to be a massive amount cheaper to even consider the risk and by that I would say around £200.

Purchased this tv a couple of weeks ago but had to send it back as smart tv apps namely iPlayer and Itv hub wouldn't stream.

The firmware was updated to latest version but still had problems. As the tv is relatively new I expect further firmware updates from Philips .

The picture is ok for the price. HD channels was fine but I would not recommend for sports fans as there was a great deal of motion blur.
SD FREEVIEW was awful so much blocking and artefacts.
Regarding freeview play guide only iPlayer programmes were flagged as watchable.

With my 4 year old Panasonic tv I could browse through the guide and still have a view of what is on the tv with the Philips you can't see what is on and browse.

There are no IPTV apps to date that you can upload a m3u file so that may be restrictive for some.

Ambilight is a nice feature but above all it's about picture quality and this is where the tv for me doesn't quite hit the mark.
4k is fine from what I watched on YouTube but as mentioned previously the motion blur was off putting.

Had my Samsung screen replaced by JL after nearly 4 years, came to my home and fitted, also had 2 faulty remotes replaced, great service.
I bought the 43 inch version, when it was on offer on Amazon.

This model is actually pretty good for the price. The black levels are really decent, and the colours were popping when I tried Blue Planet 2 on iPlayer, they had a special 4k hdr version, since expired now.

I've played some 4k videos from YouTube, black level test promo ones for LG TVs, and it looked great also on this, black was black, and the colours popped.

Zelda botw on the Switch looks great and upscales pretty well for 1080p.

Only real negative I have found, the viewing angles are pretty crap, you literally have to be directly infront, or up to 30° at most, of the colours start washing out.

Netflix HDR content, looks really dark, colours dark. Not like the normal 4k content on there or youtube etc. Have tried Punisher and daredevil which are so dark/dull. Ps4 with horizon zero dawn the same story, the colours look flat and a a little dark, looks much better without hdr.

totally off topic, i remember having a yamaha soundcard on a pc in the 2000s, it had a really cool 3d effect to the sound out of the stereo speakers, literally like 2 sound beams pointing directly outwards from the speakers, the strangest thing! it was a really cool effect and worked to give a wide stereo stage, depending how you angled the speakers!

based on that alone i would love to afford the YSP2700! if only i had a perfectly shaped room for it!

I bought the YSP2700 and it is excellent after you get used to it and take the time to set it correctly. If you dont have the sub on the sound is terrible, even just the likes of the news or chat shows. Also if you have loads of furniture for the sound to bounce off or a non square shaped room the intellibeam microphone sets some weird distances, and it takes some tinkering to correct this and make it sound better. Due to the shape of my room (its rectangular) and the furniture thats dotted around (2 couches and a sideboard really) it auto sets the speakers to 5.1 and I need to manually over ride to get the 7.1 but when I do the sound is weird. Have just left it 5.1

I'm not sure but as someone said above it looks like finding unbiased online reviews for many things is getting harder these days. I looked again yesterday and there still are no meaningful reviews for this set. All I can say is that I am very disappointed with it and regret believing the general good feeling towards Hisense as a budget competitor and should have gone for a Samsung or even LG for not much more. That said, the 45inch size is perfect for my alcove and was a big reason for going for this set.

I'm not really disagreeing but can see this situation remaining some time until it's not cost effective to churn out lower resolution panels... hopefully won't be too long now as 4K is so prevalent now and people will perhaps start to demand more. There's no incentive for manufacturers to change unless customers stop buying them and clearly they're still selling them.

Not the greatest build quality and by the time you pay the cost of a 5 year warranty (believe me, you'll need it!) you're better off going for an entry level Samsung or LG which comes with a free 5 year warranty as standard. Not only that, but as the washers are better built they're likely to last 3 times longer than the Indesit.

I’ve had a washing machine by Indesit for more than 4 years and it works brilliantly.

My current beko machine is over 5 years old now and has been faultless, unlike the two zanussi machines which preceded it. They lasted about 18 months each and cost considerably more than the beko. Also the beko seems to wash better too

It looks like the Domestic & General guarantee is for 5 years including the manufacturers. So my plan is even cheaper.Much cheaper than a Samsung. Is the washing any better with a Samsung?.I very much doubt it.I am going to order one and store it.

If you're going to spend that much, you're getting into Samsung and LG territory which are both currently offering free 5 year warranties. Far superior washers and likely to last way beyond that warranty period.

Samsung 6. AEG 7. Other Electrolux Group Washers. What I have noticed lately is other manufacturers following LG's lead of utilising inverter motorsSo should be much quieter with less vibration and more reliable. At the cheaper end of the scale I'd be interested to know if any of the new kids on the block, such as Hisense are any good? Finally, whatever happened to Panasonic? These days, they are hard to find.

Just read a Which? review of a Hisense - said something like 'fails at the basic purpose of a washing machine, ie washing your clothes'. They weren't subtle!
