8GB RAM in 2024 is too low.

Depends on usage surely? Mines blisteringly fast for what I am doing

Slow ass storage compared to m1

Having had both and now owning this, I haven’t detected any noticeable slow down.

What's the cheapest MacBook you can buy? Just want something for browsing, watching movies and listening to music. Used to have a MacBook at work and I'm a sucker for the screen and audio quality

MacBook Air M1 2020 currently £769.97 on Amazon brand new (cheaper in warehouse)

I played the warehouse lottery back in December and received the model in this deal , M2 2022 version for £810 . Basically brand new , . All elements factory sealed and a couple of battery cycles so maybe a week's use if that. As close to new as you can get. It's worth a punt but you could get a potato or a pack of copy paper!

Edit ...mine was described as 'used acceptable' which is ridiculous as it was ' used like new' hence the cheap price! (edited)

For the average laptop user, this is an amazing machine. Use main daily for watching things online, lots of office type work and emails. Worth the upgrade from the M1 for me.

    Great price!

How long would these last, with moderate use for everyday simple tasks?
