Note these take m.2 SATA drives, not the more abundant M.2 NVME drives.

I've got one of these, and its a solid little case.

The sd card will be sealed inside, but you'll likely be booting off of the m2 drive - so you can just use a USB-A to A cable to flash the ssd directly from your computer.

If you get this, I'd highly recommend not using the Argon fan script (it doesn't even work on latest Ubuntu server) and instead use this daemon.

Can I use a standard 2.5 SSD in this case?

No it's designed for M.2 drives.

    Just for a case?!

It's entire body is solid metal and acts as a heatsink. It's really good. The fan never even kicks in

Why is very expensive for not very much.

Yep I agree. Ultimately the M.2 is only running on USB3 too so unless you like the case specifically then you could get a cheap USB3 M.2 case for a fraction of the cost of this.

Good looking case and all but after you add a raspberry pi in the mix youre probably over £100 at which point you're probably better off getting a more powerful and upgradable micro PC with a proper CPU in it.

I think you are missing the point of a Raspberry Pi. It is also a lot more capable than you think. I have all sizes of PC but the Pi is the smallest and makes a great Media Player for 4K. The other thing is nearly all the OS are free compared to W10/11 which cost money. Only thing I like better than my Pi is the Mac mini.

I have this one, but I believe this is regular price there

I could not find it at his price elsewhere so if this is normal then others are profiteering. On Amazon it is £50, then again the 8GB Pi is £100 on Amazon. Seems a trend that some resellers are overcharging on Pi 4 and accessories which is a shame as the whole point of the Pi is to remain affordable to the masses.

I love a Pi accessory more than most but I was trying to work out why this had been posted on HUKD. I think I've finally figured it out. From the website reviews
... solid case for the raspberry pi 4b, does get a little hot...

I have the argon NAS tower. It runs bloody hot with a single fan at the top for tower.

Just buy a dell optiplex mff, whatever you can get for around £100, which is going to be far more powerful than this and use not much more power.

    you dont get the point.
i run home assistant on a pi to control my wifi lights with a button.
the pi has has no fans, so it makes 0 noise.
ur dell will always be making noises when you sleep and probably costs more on electricity

Looks OK but not premium. Not sure why you'd need a fan that big on a Pi but if it is for show then pointless as the case covers it. A tad boring to look at too.
