Genuine question - what makes a Le Creuset worth the extra money (almost 10x as much) compared to something like this? I do own a couple of Le Creuset dishes but wondering if it's just a waste of money?

The name and the colour choices. Le Creuset is still made in France (when it comes to their cast iron ware, all the rest is made in China). No idea where the Argos version is made, but I can't imagine it's in France. Regardless, personally I can't tell the difference between LC and cheaper versions.

Recently ordered one from denby, made in England. Still expensive at around £100 + used my ×3 Tesco clubcard vouchers to make it a free gift. Its better than these supermarket priced ones in looks and quality. But all these are heavy and need extra care looking after it.

They have ceramic coating all round so don't need seasoning. I bought this exact pan a few years back. Occasional use, no problems whatsoever though it weighs a lot. (edited)
