DescriptionDual Fan Design
Two fans that provide strong cooling performance and make your gaming rig stay cool. It’s optimized for delivering excellent gaming experience with stylish and streamlined design.

Stylish Metal Backplate
Designed to avoid PCB bending. The fancy outlook makes the graphic card more legendary in visual. It also helps to enhance cooling with the premium thermal pads equipped backside.

Striped Axial Fan
ASRock’s custom Striped Axial Fan delivers enhanced airflow to optimize cooling from not only the stripe structure on each fan blade but also the polishing surface on the bottom side.

0dB Silent Cooling
The fan spins when the temperature goes high for the optimal cooling, and stops when the temperature goes low for the complete silence.

Ultra-fit Heatpipe
The heatpipes are consolidated to maximize the contact among each others and also the GPU baseplate for the optimized heat dissipation.

Copper Base
With premium copper base heatsink design, the direct contact area to the GPU would be maximized to improve thermal transfer effectively.

ASRock adopts precise screw torque when assembling its graphics cards to optimize the cooler mounting pressure to improve thermal efficiency while avoiding damage to GPU die.

Super Alloy Motherboard

Dr.MOS is the integrated power stage solution which is optimized for synchronous buck-set down voltage applications! Intelligently delivering higher current and driving up to 50A continuous current for each phase, thus providing improved thermal result and superior performance.

Premium 90A Power Choke
Nichicon 12K Black Caps

Supreme 12K black capacitors with lifespans of at least 12,000 hours. Compared to other counterparts on high-end motherboards that merely have lifespans of around 10,000 hours, ASRock applied Nichicon 12K Black Caps that offer 20% longer lifespans and provide more stability and reliability.

2oz Copper PCB

Using only carefully selected copper materials for PCB layers, 2oz Copper PCB delivers lower temperature and higher energy efficiency for overclocking.

This is gradually becoming the 580 of its generation (the go-to value card)- yet here's the scary thought. When the 580 hit around 120 quid, years ago (and it's a little faster than half this 6600 GPU), it was, of course, also an 8GB card.

For those that do not know about AMD cards, this card can do 'reasonable' 1440P on most games at reduced settings that still maintain decent visual quality. In 2023, however, it is mostly an adequate 1080P card. Ngreedia chooses not to compete AT ALL in this price/performance bracket. Ngreedia wants you to believe this level of performance should be 300+.

By today's standards, having a 128-bit bus, the 6600 is a less advanced build than was the 256-bit bus 580. So even at 150 quid, a RX6600 would be far from cheap. But at this performance position, we have no other choice.

I installed this exact GPU in a build earlier this year, it's a bit more than 'adequate' at 1080p.

The whole DRAM issue is mostly a non-issue, with only a handful of console ports that use above 8GB with the settings maxed.
Even then, tweak a couple of settings that have little impact on image quality and 'Tadaaaa!', no more VRAM issues.

Of course, bumping up to 1440p will hit it a lot harder so I wouldn't really recommend this for 1440p unless people know the games they play don't need as much power as newer AAA titles.

Of course there is FSR than can make it more capable at 1440p, but I never use FSR/DLSS/XeSS to sway my opinion on cards as it doesn't represent the cards true performance. (edited)

I think once this hits £150 I'll finally bite the bullet and get around to upgrading my old Hackintosh as it's stuck on my old GTX780ti

I'm waiting for £150 , I take it I could max out street fighter 6 at 1080p with this card (ryzen 3600)

    Thanks (edited)

I have SF6 maxed out (120fps limit setting) at 1440p with an overclocked ryzen 7 2700 (not x) and an undervolted vega 56 if that helps? Not a bit of lag. I'm well pleased about it too..

Also turned on the input delay thing....I think it helped but no performance change.

My son's pc has a 6600, sorry to say I paid nearly double this about 18 months ago (I sold an old rx480 for £318 though).

Its a pretty capable card that runs everything he plays no problems at 1440p, albeit it probably falls short of you are wanting good FPS in demanding modern titles.

My lad is moaning that his inbuilt graphics are trash he has a ryzen 5600g cpu. Is this a fair upgrade ?

It would be a huge upgrade.
If he has a 1080p/Full HD monitor this would be perfect.

Just need to make sure the power supply is sufficient to power it (and that it has the 8 pin PCIe power connector that is needed).
6600's are very efficient so, paired with the 5600G, any decent PSU 400W and above would be fine. (edited)
