Really struggled to find a driver for Windows 7- it isn't officially supported for the 6600. The one I found suffers from screen flickering and flashing on some software.

Unfortunately that will always be a problem with an OS that stopped getting support 3 years ago

Windows 7 is end of life and therefore you should move to Windows 10 (end of life October 2025 or LTSC until 2029) Windows 11 (support for years into 2030s) OR install a gaming flavour of Linux such as Nobara 37 (soon to be 38) or Garuda Linux if you prefer KDE. You can install any Linux distro really depends on the spec of your current hardware.

Anyway point is you will struggle with Windows 7 now. Time to upgrade unless there is simply no other way to run your software which probably is a rare case.

Great 1080p card and is very efficient, decent price for it.
You can get the ASRock version for £10 less though. (edited)

seems to have now increased in price

Ok price I suppose. Personally wouldn't pay that and just try to get one off an eBay auction for £140-150

I think the card from more or less reputable retailer with full warranty is absolutely worth paying a bit more.
Especially if one's new to self building and wants a peace of mind.
