Actually I'm preparing for the "We're totally fine with the xx70 class cards being stuck at 8gb for the 1070, 2070 and 3070" brigade.

Nvidia just love that you're blaming devs instead of them for stagnating for 3 generations.

To be fair, whilst 8GB of VRAM isn't good for the future, it'll play 99% of games perfectly fine at 1440p. Only about a handful of very new titles really have a problem.

Play outside of AAA (many of the titles are sh*t anyway) and there's really no problem.

It's not the most exciting discount on a card of this age though. Sub £350 would make this more interesting I think. (edited)

Even when playing older games from the past decade will run out of VRAM when trying to run them at 4K. People shouldn't have to settle for 1080p on a £400+ card in 2023. Especially when you have consoles pushing 1800p on average.
