Stamp your style on the world with the ASUS VivoBook 15, this feature-packed laptop makes it easy to get things done, anywhere. It’s built to perform, from a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 processor to a crisp Full HD display, a 180° lay-flat hinge, and sleek geometric design. 16GB of RAM ensures smooth running across multiple programs, and, with 512GB of SSD storage, you can load up photos, videos and documents in no time.

Keep in contact
Thanks to the onboard camera, this device, once connected to Wi-Fi, will let you take part in video chats or virtual meetings, enabling the fun of the office to come to you.

AMD Ryzen 7 processor
The AMD Ryzen 7 processor in this laptop lets you flex your creative muscles. You won't have any problems running demanding software, and power-hungry programs like image manipulation and video editing will work like a dream.

Streaming, rendering and 4K video editing will all be a cinch thanks to its 8-core and 16-thread design, and you can expect games to run with sharp graphics and silky-smooth frame rates.

What is RAM?
RAM (Random Access Memory) is different to the permanent storage provided by hard disk drives (HDD), solid-state drives (SSD) or memory cards in your equipment. RAM is used by your device to temporarily store data to carry out everyday operations. The more RAM your machine has, the faster you can expect it to open and run programs.

RAM packed
Featuring a massive 16GB of RAM, this computer is comfortable running lots of complex tasks at once, and you won't see any obvious lag or slowdown.

Super-fast loading with loads of storage
The 512GB Solid State Drive (SSD) gives you the capacity to store documents and media, while ensuring speedy and dependable access to your files and programs. Games will load up super-quick, and there's enough space for all your photos, videos, and music too.

AMD Radeon Graphics
AMD's Radeon graphics processing unit (GPU) will enable you to enjoy a number of classic older games, along with some casual (web-based) gaming. You may be able to run more modern titles with reduced effects and frame rates.

Great entertainment
The Full HD display packs loads of detail into films, videos and games, with a built-in sound system that pumps out crisp and punchy audio.
Connecting your other devices
Connect to TVs or external displays with the HDMI output. Listen to music using a 3.5mm headphone jack. Connect to high-speed peripherals with the USB ports, and send data wirelessly between devices using Bluetooth.

    Any good pc experts?

I need a new laptop to replace my five year old pc which is crawling now - just normal applications teams and some streaming to keep me going a few years!? (edited)

This looks like a really hot deal to me.

Latest Ryzen 7 CPU with 8 cores/16 threads. 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. Not seen too many better laptops at a cheaper price.

Old generation 4800H, 250 nits screen and all plastic I assume, not that amazing, decent.

So many amazing laptop deals with top ram processor and even ssd, but they all miss any basic dedicated gpu.

Are there any good gaming laptops with an RTX 3060 for around £600 - £700?
    Wakesc's avatar
Honestly your best bet is eBay, managed to pick up a Lenovo legion 5 with a Radeon 6600m in it for £630, basically new condition. Got lucky but I have seen others in the last few weeks near to that price.

Good find, really good price for the specs. Heat added

Can you upgrade the ram in this model?
  11. russelkhan's avatar
There are deals on gaming laptops with dedicated GPUs, but of course they're in a different price bracket.

Can this house a second sata hard drive? 512 isn’t enough and my dying laptop houses a ssd and a sata
    russelkhan's avatar
Don't mean to be rude but this is info that you can quite easily find out for yourself if you take a look at the product page on Asus' website.

Is it cheaper to buy the MS Office here through John Lewis when buying laptops from them ? They have a 50% deal at the moment
    russelkhan's avatar
You can buy OEM keys for Office at loads of sites. Prices vary from under £10 to £20. I've used pixelcodes.com a few times.

    Great deal for me ..
  15. H_G2's avatar
Great find, these specs normally go for £550+ at a minimum
  16. adam.bebbington's avatar
What will this be like for gaming, grand theft auto ect
    Crossbow's avatar
Not good, you ideally need a gaming-centric laptop with a reasonably powerful discrete GPU for the best effect & to future-proof to some extent.

Can you charge via USB ?
    ciaran2506's avatar
No you can't, no power delivery icon next to the USB-C port.

Is this any good for professional DJ purposes? Also any other reasonably priced suggestions. Apple Mac crazy dear!
    ciaran2506's avatar
The main questions here would be what software will you be running and what peripherals/accessories will you be connecting?

Most software should list minimum requirements but I would imagine unless your DJ software handles some heavy graphics then this would be a very capable device.

I am looking for a midrange laptop to play FM on. Would this be suitable to use with 3D match engine does anyone know, thanks in advance

Experts…I have a monitor 3840 x 2160 4K @ 60 Hz. My current laptop is old and needs replacing. Can this deal laptop output that resolution or can anyone suggest any other that will be compatible with my new monitor?
    H_G2's avatar
Yh, also depends on whether you're internet is fast enough for 4k streaming
  21. big_ndn's avatar
Dont think it has backlit keyboard?

I want to get into cyber security and run VM and learn to pentest etc. would this be a good laptop or can anyone provide recommendations?
    ciaran2506's avatar
Should have no problem running a VM on this machine using Hyper-V or something like VirtualBox.

As for learning to pentest I would recommend following a structured course.
  23. dean.wallace's avatar
Would this laptop be good for photo editing in lightroom and Photoshop?
    ciaran2506's avatar
No, to run those apps you'll want a laptop with a dedicated graphics card.
  24. freejack2k's avatar
Totally torn between this and the OLED laptop at AO. It’s for daughter for Uni so little worried she’ll be considerate enough to look after the OLED one. has this got fingerprint login?
    ciaran2506's avatar
No sign of a fingerprint reader on the top down view or mention of it in the tech specs
  25. Felipe.Lopes's avatar
This or the M3401QA for £500?
  26. jokerevo's avatar
150 cheaper than the vivobook S14 deal but that screen is QHD and OLED. Is the jump justified in terms of processor?
