How much power can you squeeze into a thin and light laptop? Quite a lot, it turns out. The Zenbook 14 packs a 12th gen Intel® Core™ i5processor and Iris® Xegraphics into an amazingly thin body. Combine that with a 2.8K OLED touchscreen, and you've got an ultra-portable productivity machine. The screen is Pantone colour validated, which means it's perfect for creative work, watching movies and casual gaming. And it's got up to 10 hours of battery life, so you can leave the charging brick at home.

Good to know

- It weighs under 1.4 kg, so you'll barely know it's in your bag
- The 512 GB SSD gives you plenty of space for all your files – and it's darn fast, too
- With the lightning fast WiFi 6E you can forget about the loading circle
- Multitask without bogging down your system, thanks to the 16 GB RAM
- The screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio - that's similar to 16:9, just a little taller (and better)
- Forget passwords – the fingerprint sensor is much more convenient
- Share your screen with the whole table thanks to the 180° hinge
- With the two Thunderbolt 4 ports, you can connect to just about anything
- There's also a regular USB-A port, a MicroSD card reader and an HDMI port

I was about to buy this in John Lewis today for 600 but after seeing the grainy touch layer I decided against. It's too distracting and like a grid over everything

the 2022 zenbooks (including the above) only have 1 fan on 1 side of the laptop so they run VERY hot and loud, whereas the 2021 zenbooks had 2 (1 on each side) and run cool and quiet

imho a bit of a craptop

I sent one back for the heat - managed to get a great deal via Currys eBay where they'd labelled it as Grade B but it was a Grade A. Was really impressed with the laptop but my god the heat - it was crazy. I get that it's warm here at the moment which has an impact but this was so uncomfortable to use. I think I'll only get a Zenbook again if it's an AMD chip as they run much cooler IMO

I have one of these, it's ok but the case is plastic, there is a strip of plastic in the underside of the touchpad held in with two screws, cracks formed around these screws within a few months. Asus support we're abysmal I'll never buy another Asus product.
