thanks like the size chart, is there a website for doing this comparison?

I thought 7a and s23 was same size but guess not, shame about the samsung s23 banana gate issue otherwise id have ordered that last week.

Still feels like zenfone 9 should cost £350-450 if not less, will be interesting to see how 10 is.

To everyone interested in this zenfone 9. Last year I've bought it 8Gb/128 in black, worked perfectly fine with no single issue. Excellent screen, reception, performance camera, superb battery. After 5 months of use I've gave it to daughter as she broken old pixel. I've bought another Zen9 for myself in white this time. No single problem. In May have a chance to play with Galaxy s23 for 2 weeks (I'm big fan of compacts) Asus feels a lot better and comfy in hand than Samsung and the power/fingerprint button on the right side is far superior to on screen sensor. S23 returned

thanks you hear lots of issues on Asus forums and possibly bugs not being ironed out.

I still think the Zen 9 is way overpriced now that the 10 is out also, its £450ish but feels a £350 handset.

Does the Zen have an easy mirrorcast/cast to TV feature? I found out the hard way that the pixel phones do not have it.

The S23 still sounds a worthy choice but the bananagate camera fault thing is a worry, but I guess one big advantage is the S23 will still fetch excellent trade in prices and the price will hold in 1 or 2 years time, not sure the Zen fones will hold their price in weight.

IIRC only 2 years of promised OS updates?
    miguelsmaatos's avatar
Security updates have been going for longer on older models.
The problem is that ASUS has a history of poorly handling bugs on essential functions: phone calls, cell reception (especially 4G and VoLTE), etc. Their forums are full of ignored reports.

I had one since launch and it's great. Normal sized phone that fits in your pocket with loads of performance and great battery life
    emptypocketz's avatar
how do you find the reception when receiving and making phone calls and general stability?

Its a great phone but it sounds like the asus forums mention lots of software bugs which Asus does not appear to be on top off.

My small phone is a 13 mini and it really does change how you use a phone. I found the pixel 3 and 13 mini were great when I was looking after my daughter as you often need a true one handed phone. I was really tempted by this phone and it was only the LTS that put me off.

This may be useful for anybody with a big phone that likes the idea of a small phone... but still wants a big phone.

Many have a "one handed mode" which temporarily shrinks the size of the usable screen. On my S23+, I just swipe down from the bottom middle of the phone

Had very bad experiences with Laptop Outlet (on eBay), wouldn't touch them with a bargepole ever again. Just look up their reviews.

    It's a little itty bitty phone 😁

Mate, you've got the price marked as FREE. I think you put the £557 in the wrong box. (edited)

You can get s23 will be around same prices, I really want someone to start rolling prices down so last year phone prices go down more
    emptypocketz's avatar
Yes been saying same thing for last few weeks guess need some patience.

Having said that google pixel 7/7a and even Samsung S23 range have some issues be it software and hardware. The samsung s23 bananagate faulty camera put me off the S23 series and G7 series modem reception issues.

Actually if you see a post below even the Zenfone 9 has some reception and other connectivity issues its simply mind blowing companies can release £600-800 mobiles that are almost not quality tested and then patched via software updates of the hardware fault is fixed on the next model I can only assume its since they want us to buy a new phone each year lol (edited)

Zenfone 10 launch event at the end of the month, so these may well drop soon?
  16. scotz78's avatar
One of the very few phones on the market still with a headphone jack however, it is still marginally behind the 5 year old Samsung S10 on a lot of performance markers and doesn't have wireless charging. Tempted though.
  17. Feargal's avatar
Shame no wireless charging, nice compact size if you can live without the wireless charging.

Mr Switch do you think the extra 90 is with paying for a oppo x5 5g pro vs oppo Reno 8pro? Thanks

Looks like these can be had for a similar price again with another code. Anyone had the Zenfone 9 and 10 and can compare? Need to replace my 13 mini and after the Zenfone or s23. S23 seems like better value compared to Zenfone 10 given the price (optical zoom, brighter screen, longer support etc)….but I do remember face unlock being laggy on the s21…wonder if that’s still the same case on the s23. Zf9 seems like a good shout…

Google S23 bananagate and decide if it's still on your list.
