I know the Blu-ray version is on the horizon, but it only includes the prequel movie and the complete TV series so you are missing out on 5 movies, the spin off series Crusade as well as the commentary and extras in this collection.

Saw this was the cheapest it been for ages since it's £64.99 with a £19.50 reduction at checkout and thought someone like me would be interested...

Some credit goes to zippy99 who made me look for a copy before the BD version comes out.

Good price. It's currently £45 for a second hand set in CEX. Heat.

Take into account though these aren't the remasters although it's only the TV episodes that were remastered I believe.

Depending on how they are stored there are various things that can ruin DVDs, even when they are just stored doing nothing. Some manufacturing processes were also flawed and can also lead to a kinda chemical disc rot. Not much you can do really. Ideally they should be stored away from lights, away from heat and kept fairly dry. Most discs have a theoretical lifespan of 100+ yrs but they've not been around long enough to really prove that yet.
