I have a ps portal and they are amazing. Exactly what these should be.

these backbones are just a gimmick to me. You go about your day using your phone. Using the battery and then you connect to the backbone and it probably absolutely destroys the remaining battery and you can’t game for long.

people text you and it knocks you out of the game or blocks your screen with a notification etc.

all these bluetooth controllers etc just seem to be cheap ideas that never truly work.

You obviously haven't tried this. It's not a bluetooth controller and directly plugs into the phone and thus removes any kind of 'Bluetooth' latency.

Regarding notifications blocking your screen. Android phones have a gaming mode that you can set to block notifications.

Regarding battery, you can charge your phone whilst using this. You can easily game for a couple of hours on this without issue on a modern smartphone.

Not everyone wants to buy a £200 portal when this does nearly the exact same thing for just a fraction of the cost compared to. (edited)

FYI if you're doing PS5 remote play, you'll want this 3rd party app as the official Sony one is rubbish.

Is it that much better. My streaming experience is horrible with PS5. What does it do differently to the official app?

Good price! Anyone used one of these?

I have one and personally I find it uncomfortable to use and the non dual sense layout is not great either if you’re in the PlayStation ecosystem. It’s fine for using on holiday etc but I was disappointed after all the hype.

It’s well made and works well. The app is annoying as it constantly wants you to pay for their service: (edited)

I have a PS4 pro and only play gran turismo 7. Can I play it on this?

Racing games are hard to play on streaming because the responses need to be so quick. If you want to to try stream to your phone and use your ps controller over Bluetooth first to test. If that works these would be slightly better as not running over Bluetooth but the game streaming is still the usual slow bit

Great controller, nice and compact and light.

However, the absolute KING of mobile controllers is the GameSir G8. It’s better in every way, from build quality to its analog triggers and hall effect sticks. It feels like a premium “full sized” controller.

the GameSir G8 looks good! shame I have an iPhone 12 with Lightning port

Worth upgrading from a Razer Kishi?

Don't just need to do remote play from ps4 or ps5 with this.

Works well with Android games and steam streaming, but I've found it's really good with emulators as it's USB all the controls map automatically.

MAME, Dolphin, YUZU (rip), PPSSPP all work brilliantly (depending on your phone spec of course and being Android).

Anyone know if it’s version 1 or 2?

Good price but should be no more than £30-35 (edited)

Do I have to use/buy the official app or can I use MirrorPlay on my iPhone? Thanks

Great price for a new one from a bricks and mortar store. Is this deal live today? Also does anyone know if they have black and/or V2 ones in store?

Ideally I am after a black V2. Could live with white, but the V2 is apparently important for iPhone Pro Max
    DealBandit1's avatar
These are more than likely 2nd gen because they’ve marketed for android and iOS. The previous generation was separate because of the lightning cable connection.

Sorry but where are people getting this price from? Is there even a photo of the offer, or you can literally just say you've seen it 'instore'?

Pne thing to note is that it say siphone , but it only works withe the 15 as it's a usb C connector not a lightning, for any iphone 14 or below you need a different bbackbone
  22. Oscarmierz's avatar
Just to add to my previous comment, old pricing signage in store and at checkout it was infuse £53.98.
