Chiaki Kuriyama was in Kill Bill, she almost certainly got cast after he saw her in this. She's had a knack for playing Psychotic Schoolgirls. Oyayubihime is also another film with her in that's worth watching (unsurprisingly, she plays a psychotic schoolgirl in that too).
