Had one of these and it was awful. Wouldn't be a bargain even if they were giving them away. Go for a perfectdraft or a sub.

    Thanks for this.
I was just about to ask if these were any good as my Sub gave up the ghost a few weeks ago and I miss a decent pint at home!

I had one too and I wouldn't buy one again...... Turns out 5L kegs are not a lot and you'd have to change it constantly. But also the CO2 things only would last 1 and a half kegs, so you have to keep buying tons of those things. On top of that I kept having issues with getting the beer out, the connectors were so finicky and in the summer it struggled to get the keg to temp. Finally it makes a horrible high pitched noise when it's sitting at temp and not actively cooling.

I thought it made the beer taste better, but it turned out when I ordered the Budvar bottles (cause it came with a free keg) that it was just British brewed beer that all tastes like crap and Budvar is just really nice.

I dunno what it is about the UK but we suck at beer, so one good thing came of it.... I now only buy imported beer.

out of interest, where do you buy imported beer from? do you mean you only buy it when available (like I know moretti has been found in shops before from italy), or do you use a certain website? thanks
