    Anyone else bought a Brita filter jug and found a plastic plug at the bottom of the water holder that stops water flowing out? (edited)

    Yes. They did it to scam people. It stops the old Maxtra cartridges from working and also prevents compatible cartridges working forcing you to buy their expensive filters. If you put a Maxtra Plus filter you'll find it magically works again

    Definitely not the first glass jug made by brita. We had one 20 years ago made of glass and then things went backwards in life as they do to plastic
