    Good printer. Note that 3rd party toners are available, but they aren't as cheap as you'd find for older Brother printers. You should ALWAYS look at ongoing running costs before buying a printer!

    Quick google gets this result: Buy Brother HL-L2445DW Toner Cartridges from £30.36 (cartridgesave.co.uk)
    The 3rd party high capacity cartridge is 1.1p per page (3000 page capacity)

    That seems ok to me I guess, but for older brothers you could get considerably cheaper ones!

    Have multiple subnets for WiFi and network at home and the Brother printer driver for network printing can't seem to cope with finding the printer on a different subnet from the machine sending the print job.
    Have tried googling, everyone seems to just give up.

    Otherwise, I'm very happy with my Brother laser printer. I'm such a light user I don't print very often and the starter toner is going to last me years and I won't have to worry about printheads blocking like my old Inkjet.

    I had problems with it stating the printer was offline when trying to print. Apparently it was deep sleep mode causing this and it was resolved by the following:
    ".1. Press Menu.2. Press up or down (arrow) to display Network and then press OK.3. Do one of the following:- Wired Users: Press up or down to display Wired LAN and then press OK.- Wireless Users: Press up or down to display WLAN and then press OK.4. Press up or down to display TCP/IP and then press OK.5. Press up or down to display IPv6 and then press OK.6. Press up or down to display On or Off and then press OK.That addresses the network connectivity sleep feature.Next you need to disable the actual deep sleep mode:menu-general setup-ecology-sleep time- then push the star key and start button at the same time and turn it off."
