Brugal Anejo is a 5 year old Dominican rum aged in white American oak casks that previously held whisky and bourbon, to produce a full taste and depth of character. Enjoy this rum with a little ginger beer and a slice of lime. It also mixes well with almost any tropical fruit.

Brugal is the market-leading rum in the Dominican Republic and is now a familiar sight in bars up and down the UK after being taken on by a major drinks distributor. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out.

Brugal is the leading rum brand in the Dominican Republic, where it has over 80 per cent market share. It is a premium brand full of authenticity, strong heritage and unwavering commitment to the highest quality standards and our distillation process removes many of the heavy alcohols that other rums leave in. The result? A clean, smooth and not-so-sweet spirit that tastes like something youll never forget..

Brugal makes its rum traditionally, ageing it in over 200,000 American white oak barrels on-site in Puerto Plata. It can be enjoyed either mixed or straight; Brugal is well positioned to take advantage of current consumer trends.

The company was founded by Andrés Brugal Montaner. The majority of the board members are actually descendants of Montaner.

Tasting Note
The nose is full of caramel and dark brown sugar, buttery toffee and a little spice with pepper and vanilla. The palate is smooth and rich and rather dry with buttery spice notes and dark sugar, a little oak. The finish is of good length with dark sugar.

I'm going to try that. I honeymooned in the Dom Rep 30 odd years ago and had that brand's incredibly high alcohol 151 white rum.

Hilarious!!!!! Can’t believe my Vitamins (one word) comment got flagged by someone / deleted IF anybody has been to Dominican especially Purto Plata (I’ve been all over DR) they’ll know there street signs are all Brugal “sponsored” given it’s produced there Sugar Cane etc. All of the locals ask you (did us) if you want a drink (would you like vitamins) it’s everywhere in picnic hampers some people are so sensitive to facts! I can’t see why it would be harmful!
