About this deal

New formula: Brown rice protein replaced for soya protein isolate, which is higher in protein and gives a creamier texture. The ratios of our exclusive multi-protein blend (soya protein, pea protein, pumpkin seed, quinoa flour and flaxseed powder) have been refined for a smoother shake. Making a few tweaks to the flavours, the taste is now richer. With added DigeZyme®, to help break down the protein, this is a winning plant-based formula.

Ideal if you’re following a plant-based diet and looking to increase your protein intake as part of a healthy, balanced lifestyle. This is a great alternative to whey protein shakes.

Ingredients:

Vegan Protein Blend (Pea Protein Isolate, SOYA Protein Isolate, Pumpkin Seed Protein, Quinoa Flour, Flaxseed Powder), Reduced Fat Cocoa Powder, Flavouring, Emulsifier (Sunflower Lecithin), Sweetener (Steviol Glycosides from Stevia), DigeZyme Enzyme Complex (Amylase, Protease, Cellulase, Lactase, Lipase), Thickener (Xanthan Gum).

Good they've started using stevia, sucralose can really mess with your gut microbiome

Unflavoured is going to taste pretty bad. 5kg is a lot of bad tasting gunk to chug.

I bought a small 500g packet of chocolate peanut from Bulk and paid for bulk prime £10, I mean bulk boost free next day delivery for 1 year, would have had to pay £4 delivery anyway so thought I might as well.

Tried it with water then another with milk. Taste is just OK really, not great not bad, I use a battery powered blender so perhaps it was a bit less bitty, but didn't bother me much. Couldn't taste the chocolate but you can taste the peanut flavour, it's a bit more strong with milk than water. At least it isn't insanely sweet tasting like a lot of whey powders I have had, it barely tastes sweet at all.

Undecided on it really, might try the caramel latte one that seems to get good reviews next. I'm lactose intollerant but think I may be soy intollerant too, so will see how this goes!

Oh, it tells you to put in a heaped scoop, the level scoops are only 30g and a serving is 35g, could have made a slightly bigger scoop really. (edited)
