Why havent they reduced the weight this year? Maybe using heavier plastic
    DazLFC's avatar
They have, was 650 last year. Even Quality Street is only 550g now

To me, boxes of chocolates should feel like a treat. Be full of things you dont normally eat.

Everyone eats a mars or a twix or a snickers regularly - I dont get why Celebrations are popular compared to Roses and the like. They contain things you dont already eat full size versions of every week

To me - a chocolate treat has to be good quality chocolate. Not mediocre chocolate, even if disguised with interesting fillings. One piece/square of really good chocolate gives the same hit, or more, than a dozen or more bits of cheap stuff.

So, "Celebrations" is in the comfort eating bracket. Boring.

Anyone else noticed that the weight has reduced by 50g year on year whilst price has remained same. Supermarket #greedflation

I suspect it's more to do with Mars/Master Foods than supermarkets
