Used this sun protection spray on holiday recently and preferred it to P20. Genuinely lasts all day. It is sticky to apply but dries clear and withstands kids being in and out of the pool. The description on Amazon says it can be applied once for 3 days protection, but I didn't dare risk it. I paid £8 for 200ml when it was on offer with Amazon but it's been around the £20 mark ever since.

There is no sunscreen out there that will last a whole 24 hours with spf 50 uvb rating, let alone 3 days. I’ll probably buy a bottle if I come across it in store cause it’s a good deal but I’m also making sure to apply sunscreen every 2 hours when I’m in direct sunlight at spf 50. Stay safe in this weather guys.

P20 defo lasts all day. Been using it in Florida for 15 years now. Downside is it stings like hell if u get it in your eyes and it stains white clothes yellow. But nothing napisan won’t take out.

Thanks for those photos. 200ml for £5 seems very decent price. Will have a check in my local one next time I'm that way to see if there's any in stock

Cold there’s no uva star ratings that I can see just says protects against both uvb and uva but nothing specific

Remember the star rating was a test originally made up by Boots as a marketing tool to sell their own brand product; which they then sold to other brands.

You had me worried there until I read some of the research and noticed that both Calypso and P20 also contain octocrylene.

Yes there is research ongoing about possible effects of a product of the breakdown of octocrylene, but nothing conclusive yet and for me the benefits of long lasting UV protection and the reduction in chances of my kids developing skin cancer outweigh the risks. (edited)

I’m not going to pretend this is a high quality review but I found this Jul 21 Mirror article quite informative about what it’s like using this stuff: Mirror review Jul 2021Thks for posting, I’ll keep an eye out in my local branch to try. For those wanting sun cream that does not sting eyes one I always turn to is by The Ordinary (SPF15 & 30) which is broad spectrum mineral based.

A non eye stingy cream would be fantastic. I always find later in the day after applying my eyes sting and stream, it's like I'm cutting onions and drives me mad. I will check out The Ordinary.

Thanks OP. Never heard of this stuff before. Have always used Calypso all day which is great.

Having now read about Sunseal it sounds ideal for watersports so have bought 3 bottles for my kids while surfing/paddleboarding.

yeah I always use calypso which from memory is usually a good price in Wilkos or B&M. I think I even once got it from Matalan

Really good stuff...stocked up in store and via online! Not sure if I'd trust the whole 3 day life of this, especially after swimming and showering...

Goes on great, doesn't stain your clothing, no salt stains from sea water and sand sticks to your skin a lot less....

Considering the cost of this from other retailers and from personal use of the product, this stuff is a brill bargain! Get it at this price while you can!

    Thanks for posting
