Yeah its kind of meh tbh, I've got around 800 hours in so far and only play because there isnt anything out there like this game. The Devs are utterly clueless and have no idea what direction they're going in and are more focused on pushing out little updates with cosmetics and bad balance patches than giving us actual game content.

Its been a year already and we've only had 2 Battlegroups and a handful of maps despite the community asking for older COH2 maps to be implemented for a while, Relics response was we cant add them due to "legal reasons" then low and behold we get said maps on the 1 year anniversary.

Multiplayer has around 2-2500 people playing on average so you will always find a game for the Multiplayer aspect.

I only did around 5 missions on each of the campaigns before I got bored, they've added some weird cartoony racial narrative to the Africa campaign to please a certain crowd which really wasnt needed.

The Italy campaign should have been co-op imho which would of made it more enjoyable, what you're presented with is just a confusing map with no real tips and hints to tell you how to resupply your units etc.

For £12 though its worth a punt if you played the previous titles, its nowhere near worth the price they're asking on Steam.

at this point im waiting for epic to give it away or something. Even at this crazy price it just is poor.

I loved CoH and always played it with my college mate on Hamachi (was it?) that popular lan over internet client we all used when we couldn't afford to pay for games lol. I always used to win because I just Howitzered my way to victory, they were so OP...

Relic haven't released a good game since sadly :/ I remember DoW and CoH 2 both being bad and I skipped everything else form them. I played AoE IV and that was bad too, but thankfully I refunded that.

Aoe4 was pretty good. Not aoe2, but still very decent. I thought the campaigns and videos added were top notch, very much like a documentary you can actually learn from also.

Played it on PS5 (I played the other two on PC) and I actually enjoyed it to be honest, not as good as the other two but for £12 I'd say you can't go wrong. To be honest I was more impressed how well they got a RTS to work on console with controller, felt very natural.

Thats why its poop... coz they catered to consoles...

Utter failure of a game... if relic didnt get work to make AOE4 they would be closed now... 2 of their last games have been total flops
