definitely check if it's a free return just in case, I just had to pay £13 to return an item to Box, won't buy again

Was it faulty? You probably shouldn't have had to pay.

PSUs are weirdly expensive again when all other pc components are returning to pre-pandemic prices (other than Nvidia GPUs, but that's down to their greed rather than market factors). They were around this price when crypto miners were snatching them up for their rigs. Anyone know what's driving it?

No, but I've seen people all around the world complaining that PSU prices have gone up massively since the middle of last year or so. Nobody really seems to know exactly why though. Probably a combination of greed, inflation, supply chain issues and new high-end GPUs being so power-hungry that a lot of people want/need to upgrade. A lot of companies have also launched or are preparing new ATX 3.0 models, so that's also a good excuse to limit/stop production of older units that have fallen in price, in favour of new SKUs that support the new standard.

Hi, I've just received the non shift RM850X version from the same supplier, new, sealed and delivered for £125.40 This is on a well known auction site. Is there a reason why we don't see these deals?
