Decent price for one of the better SATA SSDs on the market. Has DRAM cache and supposedly TLC NAND, for what it's worth.

would the warranty work in UK if you buy it from France? If anyone has experience with Crucial/Warranty

Can’t vouch for overseas purchase but UK warranty claim was handled very smoothly by them last year so they are my go to SSD source now.

Good reliable drives, MX500's have been my 1st choice for SATA drives for many, many years.

I must be missing something. It comes up as 206,99€ (probably plus delivery) for me.

I'm getting the same price. Think I'll wait until Black Friday.

not bad, but looking for cheap and reliable 4TB SSD...2TB are around £60, so looking for £120 for the 4TB

then my 24 drive bay RAID home server will be fully populated

You'd never find that on normal discount sales. 4TB is considered the "flagship" mainstream SSD capacity for consumers so it'll naturally be more expensive than two 2TB drives.

Looks like you missed the £114 Samsung 870 EVO 4TB deal a month or so back though (discounted price + Samsung cashback).

£140 4TB is a more realistic expectation until 8TB drives become the people's new flagship (yes, they exist, and no, they're not widely used/available). We're reaching screen size to content file size limit anyway so I don't see this happening any time soon. (edited)

Will this work in Hikvision, NVR 16ch Acusense 4K 16POE 2HDD Alm 4/1

    GTIN/NSN: 6931847175177

    MPN Number: DS-7616NXI-K2/16P?

The aim is to make the NVR quiet as possible as its in the bedroom

    thanks (edited)

A quick Google suggests it has 2 SATA interfaces so theoretically it should work.

I don't know the ins and outs of these NVR systems though so wouldn't want to say for sure.

Thats super slow for an ssd lol.
    droitwichdosser's avatar
Thats as fast as the SATA bus will allow, you won’t get any faster.
majority of the speed of an SSD comes from the initial seek speed anyway, unless you are constantly reading and writing massive amounts of data

It's not a different seller. The sold by Amazon price increased €171.50 to €216.81 on 29/8 in the morning and then dropped to the current price of €206.99 in the afternoon.

Worth keeping an eye on as it may drop to €171.50 again shortly.
