Empower your next-generation, multi-core CPU
Crucial DDR5 Memory has the blazing speed and massive bandwidth needed for the next generation of multi-core CPUs¹. Multitask better, load, analyze, edit, and render faster, game with higher frame rates and significantly reduce system lag for heavy workloads over the previous generation².

With Crucial DDR5 Memory, harness performance that was once only possible with extreme performance memory³.

Extreme performance right out-of-the-box
Crucial DDR5 Memory can transfer data up to 1.75x faster and deliver up to 2x more bandwidth than DDR4, resulting in shorter load times, file transfers, downloads, lag time and improved refresh rates. Performance is enhanced not just during testing, but in real-world conditions².

Best value with support for both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO
Even with CPUs that suppress memory speed, Crucial DDR5 desktop memory can reach its rated speeds with Intel XMP 3.0 or AMD EXPO turned on in the UEFI/BIOS settings⁴. Get the full value of your investment without overpaying for performance and enjoy the flexibility of using your Crucial DDR5 Desktop Memory in either an Intel or AMD build⁵.

No latency downsides with DDR5
Crucial DDR5’s system latency, measured in nanoseconds, is only up to 3% longer than DDR4 during testing⁶, meaning real-world latency performances are virtually the same. With Crucial DDR5 delivering up to 2x more bandwidth, DDR4 is still outperformed.

Optimized power efficiency
For improved efficiency and stability, Crucial DDR5 introduces on-module voltage regulation with a power management integrated circuit (PMIC), which was on the motherboard with older memory technologies⁷. This results in improved signaling and cleaner power for the modules (DIMMs). Moreover, DDR5’s on-module operating voltage is only 1.1V compared to DDR4’s 1.2V.

I keep seeing so many RAM and SSD deals pop up, how do people differentiate between what is better, except the lower price?

This needs a specific motherboard from recent 1-2 years. e.g. my old one supported ddr3, new supports ddr5. Ddr4 was before this.
This is the latest fastest. But it's slow by latest standards. Still adding a small increase here doubles the price so this is good value for ddr5 and performance probably great.
Graphics cards use gddr6 which is going to be the next step for consumer ram (edited)

No, you will need a new motherboard.

DDR4 ram is pretty cheap now anyways.

Just to clarify, will it run on both Ryzen and intel. Is it worth buying now, for a build later in the year, for a coding computer build, cheers (edited)

It will run on any AMD or Intel motherboard that has DDR5 slots. IE the new generation of motherboards.

If this was a prime day exclusive why is it still £24.99 after the event as finished

Proves that sales items sometimes aren't on sale at all.

    For ddr5, isn't 16gb absolute minimum?

I think it might be 12gb, there were some 48gb kits knocking around somewhere

Note that running RAM that isn't specifically EXPO on AMD systems can cause issues.
Also, the reviews don't exactly fill me with confidence.
