CTEK MXS 5.0 Battery Charger with Automatic Temperature Compensation, Black With Voucher

Great piece of kit
Had few of these CTek MXS 5.0 for many years
One recently developed the infamous faulty ‘Mode Button’ issue whereby the Mode button is stuck,
usually on bike mode and no matter how much you press the mode button the charger then is unable to change mode to charge or condition your car or motorbike batteries!

The units are sealed so cant be fixed unless you force open the casing voiding warranty!!

The older models casings were able to be opened but not these newer models.

2 weeks left of 5 year warranty and contacted CTek customer services by way of downloadable warranty claim form and recieved brand new replacement about 2 weeks later

My only concerns are that the new charger which came new and boxed complete with all booklets and cables
the actual uk plug cable length is shorter, the red and black cables are slightly thinner. Crocodile clips are bit thinner and motor bike terminals connectors are also shorter also the CTek bag is made from thinner material as conpared to my okder CTek models.

All that said and done is that the
C Tek warranty is great for this type of charger model which is 5 Years !!

Be aware though that if you purchase this charger via Amazon they sometimes only honour 1 year warranty and will sometimes make things difficult for a swap out
but other customers have complained that Amazon tell customers to contact
CTek directly within the 1st year of warranty
Bit of a lottery but CTek customer services have been great for me over many years as use multiple chargers

Fantastic price. I paid £66 for mine back in 2016, when you factor inflation in this is an absolute steal.

Great device too.

Just ordered from Halfords £52.60 with my trade card to replace my old 3.6 model which appears to be ineffective at charging.
