sorted byOne strategy is to look for pages of virtual memory that are currently mapped to real memory but are accessed infrequently and seldom changed. So, when that page isn't being accessed, the real memory page can be re-allocated to a different virtual memory page. One that is about to be used.
If an attempt is made to access that original, accessed infrequently and seldom changed page, a page fault is generated and the copy of that page, written in the main storage, is copied to a real memory page (and then that is mapped to the virtual page address range).
TLTR? It looks to the user that they have 16GB of RAM. If the program(s)/applications have small working sets (they are, say doing a lot of calculations with quite a small amount of data at any time) then you will get near the performance of that 16GB. If you are doing fairly simple operations to a huge amount of data (say sorting a huge spreadsheet) then you will get less than 8GB performance.
What these tablet like? Will they run all UK app and games will I get custom charged?
