The CPU has good integrated graphics. If you want to play AAA games order an RX 580 8GB from AliExpress.

    MSI B550 GAMING GEN3 Motherboard, ATX, AM4 - AMD Ryzen 5000 Ready - DDR4 Boost 4400+MHz/OC, PCIe 3.0 x16 Slots, 1 x M.2 Gen3 Slot, 1G LAN
    £84.99
    amazon.co.uk/MSI…1-5

Would this be a more future proof motherboard please?

Not really - this is a unique, cut down B550 motherboard, it has a PCIe 3 x16 slot, instead of PCIe 4.

Any other B550 motherboard will be more future proof. (edited)

Ionz Cases have always been decent.

KZ05 were better than the 10's though did get one without the fans for 7 quid though few years back

"if you want to play triple A games but an RX 580 off AliExpress"

If you are buying parts for a new pc why the hell would you want to even consider buying a 6 year old graphics card from a Chinese marketplace.

You could just buy a used one on eBay for £50 or at least go little more modern.

Or better still buy a modern GPU from many UK retailers.

But you wouldn't be buying the Ryzen igpu if you did want a graphics card, that makes as much sense as that description above.

Having an iGPU is useful for having a working PC, while one waits the 580 to arrive from China
And for troubleshouting. And for being able to sell one's GPU, buy a new one and have a working system in-between. And it doesn't cost much.

As for buying a modern GPU from a UK retailer - what are you talking about, nothing comes close to the value of a 580.

"You can buy a used one on Ebay" is a comment, that can be posted on almost every deal on this site. New car - "you can buy a 10 year old BMW on ebay", new toothbrush - you can buy a used one on ebay

I appreciate the effort you've put into this. Also the effort that Sarden puts into his posts.
I wonder how many of us do these builds without ever purchasing? Just seeing what we can build with as little money as possible.

I agree - I find them extremely helpful and informative.

IONZ has plenty of case designs, for a few pounds more one can get a mesh case with multiple RGB fans: amazon.co.uk/s?k…Dmw

Adding an RX 580 8GB turns this into a proper gaming PC, that will run all the latest games for less than 400 quid.

We have seen enough RGB builds!

This seems a really good deal! As I'm sure others will say, the hardest part about building one of these is actually just starting it. The rest of it really is just slotting all of it in in the right order.

But having said that, there are reasons why OEM companies combine certain parts etc and build software drivers to facilitate that. People who say how fast it is to build computers very rarely include the troubleshooting time I have found

This does seem a very good spec for the price!

How is this, "a deal"? It's a bunch of parts thrown together, all purchased separately from different companies. None of which appears to be "a deal" either, even if they are a bargain.

    whizz

Think that was the point going past ya.

No, Mr Sarden doesn't post self-build configs often.

    mate .. great effort
just checked Aliexpress for RX 580 .!! OMG !! is 30-40% less than CEX
I used to buy from CEX with 2 years warranty !!
I had never had issue with Aliexpress, althought never ordered anything above £30..
many are filled with brand i never heard off !! not to mention not saying clearly if used or not !!
did u bought GPU from Aliexpress before? did u went for brands or those unknown ones?
and how did u know they were not used for mining ? (edited)
    Paul_f1's avatar
You'll find the non name/weird name brands are actually known brands just rebadged or stickers stuck over them

Only 3 slots is rather limiting. Would much rather prefer 5+.
