Nice 12th Gen i5 processor but messed up by the TITANIC 15.6 inch screen! Not impressed tbh. Can't say too much (edited)

Stay away from dell. I have them at work and they constantly have issues especially with the battery. Lenovo is a lot better

im still using a lenovo z580 i7-3520m, since it came out, only thing iv done with it was change the cmos battery and re-grease the cpu, never had a dell but i like the look of the thin inspiron with a 15 inch screen
or an xps, but they are expensive even used.

Got a Dell for my kid. The chassis is made of cheap plastic and breaks very readily at the hinge

Getting a good laptop is just luck. After 15 years of residential IT support, I tell people that if they really want reliability then get a non-branded desktop box and a screen. You don't know how bad the build quality is until it breaks and if something goes wrong with the motherboard or display out of warranty then it can easily mean buying a whole new machine. Meanwhile, parts in a desktop are easily sourced and replaced or upgraded if needed. The only reason to buy a laptop is portability.
