Is the track pad issue sorted?

If it's the 7620 model then it has the same design issues. I have the 7610 and I eventually get the trackpad issue even after grounding it with the copper wire. Nice specs but the trackpad makes it so unusable without a mouse. (edited)

Won`t be buying Dell again until they change the design and stop sitting the whole laptop on it`s hinges when open.

Not the beefiest CPU, decent single thread performance though.

Nice sized screen for office work/web browsing.

12th Gen U series is a bit disappointing as all chips are 2 P-core only, gets more interesting at P and H power levels. Even the i5 has the same core configuration as the i7 but lower max Turbo and slightly less EUs on the GPU. Tbh most modern CPUs are ‘fast enough’ anyway.

Nevermind though, this screen is far too big, no-one should buy it

Any got this that could recommend? Looking for a replacement for my Huawei D15 that is used for business use i.e. Excel, Word, emails, payroll

    Is the Ram upgradable?

slightly weird that the HDMi won't do 2/4k output. Max 1920x1200@60hz. Seems like a bit of a waste, my 2019 Inspiron 5490 can do 4k.

I guess one can use a cheap USB-C to HDMI cable to get 4K on an external monitor, or USB-C to DP, or USB-C to USB-C.

The HDMI port is probably intended to connect a projector.

Mac Anytime. I have a Macbook Pro from early 2011. 12.5 years and still works like a charm. 4/5 hours of battery and does moderate office work.

This laptop is the worst I've ever had. The hinges break within 1-2 years, making it pure garbage

I don't have this laptop, but I would NEVER again buy another dell laptop

they look cheap for their potential performance, but they are badly designed...I have had a number of them over the years and usually around the time the 12 month warranty runs out (or before if its the battery which doesn't have a 12 month warranty) something goes wrong

as a result I stick with lenovo and HP business machines...built like tanks

If I'd had a half decent experience or service from my last couple of Dell laptops I might have been tempted but found them useless and pretty redundant after less than 2 years.. bought an honor laptop which has been a dream in comparison..

Thanks for the post OP but unfortunately the Inspiron 16 is plagued by Touchpad issues.

the At a glance review in the OP suggests this is a 2 in 1, Pictures posted suggest otherwise.....
