I've had mine for about 7 months now and love it. Paired it with wharfedale diamond speakers and it sounds great. Any questions I'd be happy to try and answer for anyone x

Purchased one of these 2 months ago from RS at this price. i also got bluelight discount as well which took it down to £540. Fantastic amp love it was delighted with my purchase and of course service from richer sounds was excellent as always

Anyone know if those antennas that are sticking up can be rotated down to the sides? Got a small space and the antennas will be too high. Thanks!

Seems a good price as the 1700h was this price not too long ago

These have gone up a lot though recently. I bouth the AVRX3600 just over 3 years ago for £699 from RS.
And this is the same price before the VIP discount. The equivalent AVC-X3800H is now £1099.

They are great amps. though. And I suspect this one is probably as good if not better than my 3 year old 3600.

I have an AVR-X2300W which was a clearance bargain from RS.
I was wondering what the biggest difference would be in upgrading to something like this.

Also I am quite disappointed by the internet radio on the 2300. It is very clunky and now needs an annual subscription to some random website.

I learned early that you get what you pay for. What's the power per channel like on these? I have audiophile traits, but can only justify spending so much (for now). I have an old Yamaha rx379, but only have a stereo speaker setup with a couple of KEF Q500's, and the bass production is lacking on certain frequencies, which is a little frustrating.
I will be upgrading to something that my speakers will approve of, so this caught my attention. Eventually I will add rear speakers, plus some Atmos addons, but want something that happily handles stereo in the meantime. (edited)

I got one of these, am quite impressed, a huge upgrade over my old AV amp.

however, couldn't get my cheap Sony bluray player to work, no audio. tried all the audio options on both devices. the amp indicates no incoming audio streams at all. The player worked fine plugged into my Samsung TV, and the old Panasonic plasma in the spare bedroom. I gave up in the end, used a PS3 as they're v cheap bluray players. (edited)
