Down from £180 to £40 these look like an absolute bargain.

There seems to be some quality control issues with a few pairs leading to low review score on the website...but these are top reviewed shoes at their original price on several respected sites, for example

cyclist.co.uk/rev…iew

Gotta be worth a punt at this price!

I'm tempted but not convinced that dial closures are better than velcro. Someone convince me otherwise

You can probably tell by the replies some people swear by Velcro, some love dial. Personally, I hate the Velcro ones I have for the turbo, just never seem to get the right feel each time which is much easier to dial in with the…. dial close (pun intended). Ratchets worked for me, but hands down prefer dial closure and wouldn’t by another Velcro pair. I only have one pair and they are boa, so not sure if others would indeed be poop as some have described. I am tempted to try these…

Shoes look good. Dials are poor. Can one retrofit Boa to them?

I’ve got both Boa and these Atop dials. They both work extremely well for me. Why do you say they are poor?

I looked and even added these to the basket yesterday. I looked at the reviews and there seems to be a flaw with the bolts on them. I didn't buy in the end. Shame as they are a bargain, maybe this is why!

Some bad reviews in these unfortunately

Good price but would I risk these failing on a long ride... I don't think so.

Wouldn't mind moving to dials but not with the issues reported in the cleats attachments. Will pass and keep looking. I do need another pair!

Wonder would these be any good for spin classes. Anyone have any idea what sort of cleats those bikes use or will it differ between each gym chain?

Gym bikes are normally SPD so no, you need a two bolt shoe. Better to get an MTB shoe as they are easier to walk in.
