Have been waiting to pull the trigger on one of these for a while. A really well thought out 4-man air tent from Dometic (Kampa's higher-end tent brand). The near vertical sides maximise floor space, while a unique storage area behind the bedrooms gets rid of clutter from the main living area. I'd prefer the slightly larger (but more expensive) Ascension but at this price you can add the optional Vestibule (basically a front door) that closes off the front porch, giving this tent a very similar layout to the Ascension for a lot less money. Happy days.

Get away with the family, and or with friends with the wonderfully equipped family tent from Dometic! Introducing the Dometic Rarotonga FTT 401 Inflatable Tent which can cater up to 4-campers.
It’s a quick to pitch tunnel tent with thanks to its airframe – inflate the tent’s multiple air tubes with the provide manual pump, or upgrade to a 12v Dometic Electric Pump.
Pitching in around 15 to 20 minutes means that you can all spend more time exploring the great outdoors – long gone the days of feed though poles through the flysheet. Once erected the Rarotonga FFT promotes full standing height throughout and in return, promotes ample of useable space within the tent for use with camping furniture for a comfortable home-away-from home set-up.
The Rarotonga FFT Air Tent is what we call a ‘three-zone’ tunnel tent – complete with a generously sized living area, a bedroom quarter followed by a rear storage area at the back of the tent to maintain clutter free bedrooms.
From the living area to the rear of tent, these rooms are protected against water ingress by a sewn-in groundsheet; that spans the length. What makes the Rarotonga unique is with thanks to integrated canopy that provides a shaded area to dine and socialise outside the confines of the living area – extending the inside to the outdoors.
The integrated canopy can also provide rain-safe entry into the tent – very similar to a porch that you’ll find leading into a house. The Rarotonga FFT comes with a canopy groundsheet should you require flooring for this area.
The interior is wonderfully lit by the clear windows and are back by curtains that provide privacy during the darker hours of the day. Entry to the tent can be granted via the front or via the side access door. The side access door is backed by secondary mesh which allows airflow while keeping those pesky insects at bay.
The tent’s canvas has been produced from Dometic’s 150-Denier Polyester which provides exceptional performance when the weather isn’t so favourable. It’s a lightweight fabric but it has the right weight making it perfect to manage for weekend getaways to multi-day stops overs (touring). Tapped seems and storm guards on zipped areas help to keep the weather and chill at bay.
