    Why so expensive?
    No_Data's avatar
I've got one and I can say it does feel severely overpriced
  2. Chiptivo's avatar
Still far too overpriced and has the same sad battery the standard old PS5 controller has in it.
    Poor show by Sony.

I personally don't get the complaints about the battery. Albeit I'm just getting old and can't do marathon 12 hour gaming sessions anymore. But I've not had to charge my controller since I bought a dock for it a year ago. I play two or three hours a night and lose one bar of battery at worst. I leave it on the dock overnight and it's full again the next day.

I really do think that the people who complain about the battery either have far too much time on their hands, or stubbornly refuse to spend a small amount of money to permanently fix the issue. I could never go back to plugging my controller in to charge after how easy and convenient it is to have a charging dock.

looks like its OOS just tried

shows 50+ for me for pads but no bundles with stick (edited)

Welcome to the age where over £177 is seen as a good deal for a PlayStation controller. These companies have us hook, line and sinker.
    Moody_Cloud's avatar
Very, very, very few people buy these. They're priced high to make up for the tiny amount of people that will buy them. The same for every "premium" controller. They cater to a niche market and are priced accordingly.

Astounds me they can charge this much for a controller
    jokerevo's avatar
you can blame the people paying 250 for a custom scuf etc. They made Sony realise there is a market for this.
  7. Paul_LawlessW3j's avatar
Makes me laugh when I see the price of these controllers! Unbelievable
    Chiptivo's avatar
They would have to buy a third party case and the pads come off and yellow, and a third party larger capacity as Sony just money grab.

I want a console, controller and game for this price

  9. 5A5's avatar
Does this come with a free PS5?
  10. TDITD's avatar
The normal expected overpriced comments. I was reluctant at first but I've had mine for about 6 months and it is superior in every way (other than battery life). There are so many customisable features, you don't realise how useful they are until you have them.
    johnboylan12's avatar
Is something useful if it contributes to wasting time?

Anyone else with this find the rear grips yellowing/warping? I don't play whilst eating, and I don't have this issue with my old Xbox Elite, or even the normal PS5 controllers.

Seems the grip material they used isn't fit for purpose.
    TDITD's avatar
I changed my full shell for this reason. A company called Extremerate do the shells for about $30 direct from their online store. Fantastic quality and they don't come with those rear grips. Took about an hour to fit, a bit fiddly but no issues to change.

    Great deal.

Have some heat. Annoyingly I gave up waiting for deals and bought it last week with the eBay Easter code, but this deal is better, especially with the free replacement sticks, so just ordered and will send the other back. (edited)

cant get this code to get discount, just not registering
  17. DevilsNeverCry's avatar
Been resisting this for a while, but bit the bullet on this one.

Already have a couple of spare sticks from one of the Sony direct offers last year, so probably sell the spare module to claw a bit more back.

Just got to checkout and the controller is OOS… please close down this deal

Regardless of how many left over the system wont allow/accept the code anymore

Thanks op. Ended up just buying the controller at that price (still the cheapest I’ve seen in a while) as when I added the bundle it auto removed the stick module when I checked the basket. They may have run out of the stick modules (edited)

Just updated the deal, sounds like they have run out of the stick modules but you can still get the controller with 15% off with the voucher.

blast I got two about 1 month ago
  23. jokerevo's avatar
I still find it amazing that this still doesn't have hall effect sticks.
    FLIPENDO's avatar
Usual sony money grab. Why have hal effect with zero problems and fix a massive issue when they can charge for replacement sticks
  24. broo133's avatar
    cheers
  25. piratak's avatar
It must go £150 or lower before buying.
  26. andypearce543's avatar
Good price. Comments are laughable. Go check the prices of other pro controllers.
I didn't like it personally, returned it. I don't like my fingers being sat on the back buttons constantly it felt unnatural. I need to find one that they're out of the way (edited)
    Moody_Cloud's avatar
Erm, this controller literally has the solution to the problem you claim to have. If you don't like the back paddles you can swap them for alternative buttons so that your fingers can rest comfortably without pressing them. (edited)
  27. FLIPENDO's avatar
Been waiting for this to go down in price since before black friday. Cheers shadow. Now I'm going to think about if I really need it for the rest of the day
  28. witcherNick's avatar
Better off getting a standard controller with instant replacement (£9) from currys. Guaranteed controller for 3 years with unlimited swaps. Best use of an insurance I’ve ever encountered
    handywork's avatar
How quick is this process of replacement? I thought they like to wait 7 days etc
  29. FlexR's avatar
Regarding the Stick Module EE are acting like Sony discontinued it?

"We’re really sorry but we’ve sold out of this product and are unable to obtain more stock. In most cases this is usually because the manufacturer has discontinued the product."
  30. McSheng's avatar
Had one didn't rate it to be honest. about 80 quid overpriced
  31. darek.burynski's avatar
Can someone pls drop a link here, comparing this to e.g. a hotUK deal £30 wireless Xbox controller? (Or if not lazy, compare it here🙈)
  32. ZM76's avatar
Bundles with stick module seem to be back on site currently

May have spoke too soon checked again and cant find, might be worth checking every now and then as stock changes (edited)
