Whisper Flex: The ultimate smart fan. Thanks to the free smartphone app you can control this fan from anywhere. It is adjustable in height and transforms effortlessly from table to floor model thanks to the horizontal and vertical swing. And the best thing? It’s whisper quiet, so you can concentrate on that one book with a calming breeze or go to sleep in comfort.

Less is more
Whisper Flex has a refreshingly modern design that sets a new standard. With its beautiful simplistic looks and state-of-the-art control panel with LCD screen, this fan looks good in any setting.

Uncompromised performance
Whisper Flex is a real all-rounder. It has 26 speed settings, consumes little energy and has a powerful motor with double fan blades. On top of that, the horizontal and vertical swing ensure every direction of the room is reached. And all of these functions are performed with minimal noise production.

Every setting imaginable
Choose from 26 different speed settings and various operation modes. With natural wind mode, the fan alternates between wind speeds to mimic an outdoor breeze. While night mode ensures a comfortable night’s sleep, thanks to minimal noise production and an automatically dimming display.

In full control
Whisper Flex offers many intuitive control options, including the aluminium twist control knob with high-resolution LCD screen in the centre of the interface. Oh, and don’t bother getting up. Simply operate Whisper Flex with the Duux smartphone app or remote control that magnetically attaches to the back of the device.

Multi-talented model
The included extension tube transforms Whisper Flex from a desk model (51 cm) into a floor model (88 cm). The compatible dock and battery pack are available separately and allow you to turn Whisper Flex into a portable fan. The battery has a life of up to 18 hours, depending on settings.

Absolutely brilliant fan, so quiet on settings up to about 5 before the air becomes noisy, not the fan. Been a dream this summer

Compared to Meaco ones, which is better?
    Ken's avatar
The Meaco is great. We love ours, but there is literally no benefit to the Meaco over this, and this does more at a much lower cost.

Wow! glad I waited it was £84.99 earlier this week. A quick one do they integrate with smart assistants (Alexa/Siri)?
    magough's avatar
Yes I use Alexa to turn mine on and off, that's why I bought it

Picked one of these up today from the Coventry warehouse, only £59.98 in store.

First impressions are fairly positive, it's a fan that moves a decent amount of air for not a lot of noise. My old pedestal fan had 3 settings: loud, louder and insufferable, so this Duux fan is a big improvement over that.

As far as the smart settings go, the Duux iOS app is OK. On/Off is available in the top level of the app, mode and speed can be set within the device page. More sub-pages then allow setting the timer, schedule and oscillation.
The bad point is that the Alexa integration works but is as good as useless. The only thing you can do by voice command is to turn the fan on or off, so I expect I'll be keeping the remote handy.

I would love to hear from someone who owns/has owned, both this and the Meaco pedestal.

Looking at specs the Meaco has double the airflow, is more powerful and quieter than the Duxx. The Meaco is described as an air circulator but the Duxx isn’t, I don’t know if this is significant.

    Duxx Air circulation – 710m³/hr

    Meaco air circulation - 1,653m³/hr

Anybody had both this and the meaco and can comment on which moves more air/creates more of a breeze? I'm actually one of the few (?) who isn't bothered too much by noise but when it gets hot, like to get as close to a gale force as I can get, noisy or not
    JC_496305's avatar
I have both. The Meaco has a faster and more focussed breeze which seems to have a better cooling effect. The Duux can go more gentle on the lower settings though which I prefer during the night

Just for the folks who would like to use the smart options.
I brought this and delivered yesterday, Couldn't connect to Google Assistant as the device(Whisper Flex) is not visible when the DUUX account is linked instead DUUX sensor is visible in the devices section.Have sent an email to customer care no reply as of today.

The app works fine , can turn on ,turn off, increase and decrease speed, can schedule the run time

Are these really that good? Never heard of them. Now I feel like I should buy one just because you're all saying they're good.

I have the Meaco, and it's great. Paid over £100 for it about 12 months ago.

This model has smart features and can be made smaller to fit on a desk, and if you buy the battery set for it... can be wireless as well.

I'd say for most at full price, they're not that tempting at all. For this money, these are a bargain.

I likely won't use the smart features at all, but the quality, noise level, and flexibility this offers... its a no brainer. If you have the spare cash to spend, over a standard, more budget oriented model.

Would I buy one? Just did... Meaco for the office and this one for the bedroom.

I wanted another Meaco, but no point considering this offer. (edited)

    Very Quiet.
    Sometimes I forget its on.
    OpportunistMe's avatar
Thanks for the feedback on the fan noise. Have you tried integrating it with Alexa/Siri or using the app?
  17. Frostie5's avatar
    Is it very quiet ?
  18. timboslicey's avatar
Bugger. I should've known it was too good to be true. I only buy fans with 27 speeds or more. Any less is too little variance for my needs. Oh well the search continues.
  19. HammerTime10's avatar
This seems short for a floor one 88cm
    nonumb's avatar
Not far off the height of a kitchen work surface. Seems similar to most tower fans? OK for having on the floor pointing at the bed for night.

Cracking price. Paid 130 for one of the models below this and have been more than happy with it for that outlay. This is a steal

part of me wished I hadn't spent a lot of money on fans last year during the incredible heat we had. This is a great price for a lot of kit. DC fans are totally the way forward, they use a third of the electricity, so efficient it can run off a battery. Added to that the smart capability, that's the only downfall of DC fans, because of the brushless motor, when you unplug it and plug it back in it doesn't automatically come back on.

  28. Shaftydude's avatar
Where do you get the battery for this?
    Ken's avatar
I think direct and places like Amazon sell them. The fan comes with a mains supply (Just in case anyone wondered)

What is the guarantee or warranty on this?

Also cannot find info about its power consumption? (edited)

I bought this, delivered yesterday. Fantastic bit of kit for the prices, is pretty much silent up to 6/7. Smaller than the 'standard' pedestal fans, but much preferred as sits nicely in the corner of the bedroom at a good height for the bed. Haven't tested the smart feautres yet, but very impressed with the rest of it so far.

Has anyone got problem with their fan making a loud "ticking" sound when the fan swings from left to right?
    JC_496305's avatar
Nope, no sound at all when changing direction on mine. I've had 2 and neither had that problem (edited)
